At PuroClean, we understand that teachers are the backbone of our communities, shaping the minds and futures of our children. We’re launching the Adopt a Classroom Campaign—to give back to those who give so much. Teachers often go above and beyond, spending their resources to create enriching classroom experiences. By adopting a classroom to help a teacher and provide them with the support and supplies they need, we’re investing not only in their success but also in the success of our community’s future leaders.
This campaign is our way of saying “thank you” and acknowledging the invaluable role teachers play in inspiring and guiding our students.
We recognize the tremendous impact teachers have on our children’s lives and, by extension, on our entire community. When we think about the countless hours they dedicate to educating, guiding, and inspiring students, we realize that they often go unrecognized for their extraordinary efforts. Teachers spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and foster creativity, all while managing limited resources and challenging classroom environments.
By supporting teachers through this campaign, we’re not just helping individuals; we’re empowering the future of our community. It’s our way of saying that we see them, appreciate them, and want to help them continue making a difference.
90 percent of teachers use their own money to purchase school supplies and other essentials that help their students succeed.
According to a recent survey by the Association of American Educators (AAE) involving over 1,100 educators, most public school teachers spend a significant amount of their own money on classroom supplies, averaging $673 per year.
In two years, inflation has spiked to its highest level in four decades, and prices for school supplies increased almost 24 percent.
During the 2014-2015 school year, 94 percent of teachers spent their own money on classroom supplies.
