Holiday Food Drive totals and TIPS for preventing frozen pipes this winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you to our offices, community, and business partners!  You all contributed more than <strong>700 pounds of canned food <\/strong>items and monetary donations equivalent to <strong>2580 pounds of food <\/strong>this season.  Donations went to the Second Harvest Food Bank &amp; the Cleveland Food Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.puroclean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2021\/01\/IMG_5826-lighter-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Holiday food drive pic\" class=\"wp-image-17917\" width=\"490\" height=\"368\" \/><figcaption>Holiday food drive non perishable food donation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prevent Frozen Pipes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Insulate water pipes<\/strong> in unheated areas, such as the crawl space, basement, garage, attic, and under kitchen and bathroom cabinets.<\/li><li><strong>Allow warmer air to circulate<\/strong> around the plumbing by opening kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors. Move the products stored in these cabinets up, out of the reach of children and pets.<\/li><li><strong>Let cold water drip<\/strong> from the faucets served by exposed pipes. Running even a trickle of water through pipes helps prevent them from freezing.<\/li><li><strong>Set the thermostat<\/strong> to the same temperature during the day and at night. Your heating costs may rise, but you\u2019ll prevent pipes from freezing and bursting.<\/li><li><strong>If you\u2019re leaving home for a day or more<\/strong>, set the thermostat to at least 55\u00b0 F. Shut off the water supply and drain pipes and appliances that use water.
