HOW TO MAKE YOUR CHRISTMAS REALLY ‘POP’

Getting ready for the holidays can be a big and stressful job between setting out your holiday decorations to buying presents and running to holiday party after holiday party, and then you have to think about what to get your neighbors or make for the kids’ teacher. Well… with this sweet treat you’ll be sure to make Christmas ‘pop’.

There’s nothing better on the holidays than a delicious homemade treat. Your friends and family will LOVE our secret PuroClean of Bluffdale Carmel Popcorn recipe. For joy and holiday fun, follow the recipe below:

Popping PuroClean Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients:

  • 1lb or 2.5 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • ¼ lb. butter (1 stick)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3 gallons of pre-popped plain popcorn

Instructions:

  1. Heat butter in a large thick pot (copper bottom or aluminum bottom pot/pan)
  2. Add corn syrup and dark brown sugar to pot and heat until melted
  3. Mix in sweet and condensed milk
  4. Simmer ingredients while constantly stirring
  5. Cook caramel to “soft ball” stage – to check soft ball stage occasionally, using a spoon, drizzle a small about of caramel into a cup of cold water. Take the caramel out of the water and see if you can form a “soft ball” in your hand.
  6. Once the caramel has reached “soft ball” stage, pour over bowls of pre-popped popcorn.
  7. Thoroughly mix caramel with popcorn using a wooden spoon or spatula
  8. Spread out caramel popcorn on flat-heat safe table or counter to dry
  9. Bag or eat your popcorn!
