Responding To Emergencies Amidst Pandemic

In The Community

Many of the local communities, most recently Boulder County, have declared “Stay at Home” or “Shelter in Place” orders. Despite these orders, PuroClean continues to respond to emergencies during this unprecedented outbreak.

In all cases, “Essential Businesses” have been exempted.  In the case of the Boulder County order, we are considered exempt.   We are a service provider who “provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences, Healthcare Operations, Essential Infrastructure, Essential Government Functions, and Essential Businesses”.

Water Damage can quickly degrade into contaminated water and cause damage to the home environment and structure.  If not dealt with quickly, mold can grow and quickly spread.

Mold issues are dangerous to the health of occupants and can compromise immune systems in some people.

More obvious emergencies such as sewer backups or biohazard situations are an immediate concern and need to be dealt with as rapidly as possible by trained and competent professionals.  We will provide that response and keep you safe in the process.

Emergencies Still Occur

We will continue to respond to emergency calls of all types.  During this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 outbreak, most insurance companies are paying for added precautions to protect homeowners and our team members from infection. Our team is equipped with personal protective equipment and trained in its proper use.

If you have any emergency home, water, mold, sewer, biohazard or fire damage, please do not hesitate to call us.  These events can present immediate danger to your family and cause damage to your home or office.

In addition to our normal services, PuroClean has also defined methods for deep clean and sanitization of businesses, homes and offices to help deter the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  Our corporate office is working with the EPA, local municipalities and with our providers to ensure we have the latest information and the best practices for cleaning and sanitizing and defending against this virus.

Following The Guidelines

Our cleaning process is straight forward and very similar to what we do in biohazard or category two or three water losses.  The main difference is that we will use one of the EPA registered disinfectants as our principal cleaning agent.  Our efforts are designed to reduce the further spread of COVID-19 in commercial and residential properties.

Each property receives an individual evaluation by a highly trained PuroClean technician to determine the proper approach and sequence of events and the most effective method of application of an approved EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant.  EPA List N includes products that meet the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of Covid-19

All of our cleaning materials will be provided and taken away for disposal after the job is complete.

PuroClean is available to provide support of COVID-19 cleanup services to a range of properties, including:

  • Individual homes
  • Apartment complexes
  • Assisted living communities
  • Community centers and government buildings
  • Gymnasiums
  • Restaurants
  • Retail establishments
  • Schools
  • Offices and companies of all sizes

Cleaning procedures and best practices have become much more clear in recent days, and we will continue to update our processes as new information comes to light.
