PuroClean Teaches Students About Property Damage Remediation Jobs

A career in property damage restoration may not be the immediate thing that comes to mind when you think of high-paying jobs, but it can be a very lucrative field. Talking to the Next Generation of Property Damage Specialists

On October 10th, 2022, PuroClean of the Chagrin Valley Owner Steven Jenson participated in the first annual “Exploring Your Future,” a trades-focused career day event at Aurora High School (AHS) in Aurora, Ohio. Steven shared information with the students about the work PuroClean does and what a career path in property damage remediation can encompass.

For many of the students in attendance, it was their first exposure to the property damage remediation industry. Steven did a great job of explaining what PuroClean does and how our team helps homeowners and businesses recover from property damage disasters. He also shared some of the challenges and rewards of working in the industry.

“From donating prizes to setting up engaging displays to having meaningful conversations to giving students an opportunity to practice effective communication, [PuroClean] showed up for our Aurora High School students today, and we couldn’t be more grateful!” said April Nenadal, AHS’s counselor. “From our viewpoint, we met our goals that students will expand their knowledge of options to continue their education outside the realm of four-year colleges.”

The students were very engaged and asked lots of questions. It was clear that they were interested in learning more about this career field. Steven’s presentation was a great opportunity to introduce them to a potential career path and show them what PuroClean is all about. We’re grateful to him for his participation in this event!
