There\u2019s also an element of danger, including fires, explosions, and fireworks-related injuries. To truly enjoy fireworks safely, taking safety measures is imperative.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpsc.gov\/Safety-Education\/Safety-Education-Centers\/Fireworks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2021 Fireworks report<\/a>&nbsp;by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in June 2021, there was a 25% increase in the number of fireworks injuries from the years 2006 &#8211; 2021. There were nine reported fireworks related deaths in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Safely Use Fireworks&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read the instructions before lighting your fireworks to ensure you\u2019re using them correctly.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Light fireworks outside in a clear, open area away from other people and flammable materials. Children and pets should be kept far away from the area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Never attempt to relight or pick up fireworks that have not fully ignited, as this can increase the risk of accidental injury or fire. Instead, wait until they have completely cooled down before discarding them properly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a bucket of water or a hose handy in case of any accidental fires.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t let children handle fireworks or ignite fireworks, including firecrackers and sparklers. Sparklers burn at about 2,000 degrees and account for more than one-quarter of fireworks injuries. Always have an adult supervise fireworks activities, especially with sparklers. Never allow young children&nbsp;to play with fireworks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t use fireworks if you have been drinking alcohol or are impaired in any way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/www.puroclean.com\/cleveland-tn-puroclean-property-damage-experts-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/693\/2023\/06\/fireworks-hands.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18795\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.puroclean.com\/cleveland-tn-puroclean-property-damage-experts\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/693\/2023\/06\/fireworks-hands.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.puroclean.com\/cleveland-tn-puroclean-property-damage-experts\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/693\/2023\/06\/fireworks-hands-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Postpone your fireworks display if it\u2019s windy. The wind can blow sparks to nearby buildings, trees, or grass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wear safety glasses when lighting fireworks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t carry fireworks in your pocket. The friction may set them off.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t hold fireworks in your hand or place any part of your body directly over them when igniting the fuse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Never carry fireworks in plastic, metal, or glass containers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Never point or throw fireworks at someone. Spectators should keep a safe distance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Light one firework at a time, then step back quickly. Don\u2019t try to relight or handle malfunctioning fireworks or pieces of fireworks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.puroclean.com\/cleveland-tn-puroclean-property-damage-experts\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2022\/05\/fireworks_0.png\" alt=\"opened fireworks on the ground\" class=\"wp-image-18487\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Safely Store Fireworks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Store the fireworks outside your home and away from living areas. A locked storage shed is ideal.
