Entry Level Water Tech/Assistant

Level 1 (Assistant): No experience, no certifications. Assistant on field crew. Pack out, demolition, equipment handling. Trainee level – will be instructed in the science of restoration and remediation. Begin on-line training through PuroClean Academy then completion of all field-level PuroClean Academy on-line courses.  Hourly Rate: $15.00 – $16.50

 

Level 2 (Technician) Ability to take moisture and atmospheric readings. Strong understanding of primary field equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, containment, hardwood floor water extraction, cabinet drying. IICRC WRT, ASD, AMRT certifications. Able to do mold remediation per Texas Mold Rules and Regs, mold worker registered. Uses MICA and understands Xactimate estimating software packages. Can set up vans with chemistry, equipment, supplies, tools. Hourly Rate: $16.50 – $18.00

 

Level 3 (Sr. Technician): IICRC or RSA certifications to include FSRT, ORT, TSC. Scope intermediate level projects; communicates all information necessary for Xactimate and MICA to staff. Can be on job site alone and can determine strategy for drying and remediation. Able to explain to customers how insurance works and how estimating works. Demonstrated ability to handle jobs without other senior staff present. Organizes vans daily. Takes responsibility for van readiness daily. Orders product and equipment as appropriate to maintain supplies. THIS LEVEL CAN BE ACHIEVED WITHIN SIX MONTHS THRU FOCUS AND PERFORMANCE.  Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $21.00

 

Level 4: (Crew Chief): RRP, Asbestos. 1-year minimum field experience with demonstrated leadership ability. Can scope any size job. Leads others on the team (assistants, techs). Contacts customer independently, makes scheduling arrangements, handles all customer interactions including providing contractor recommendations. Schedules work with assistant and provides guidance and correction as necessary. THIS LEVEL CAN BE ACHIEVED WITHIN ONE YEAR THRU FOCUS AND PERFORMANCE. Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $26.00

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect, evaluate, and document water damaged properties.
  • Document damage on moisture mapping software.
  • Remove standing water from affected area using extraction methods.
  • Setup appropriate amounts of equipment to dry structure.
  • Remove affected building materials when deemed non-salvageable.
  • Maintain van readiness daily – equipment, chemistry, supplies, tools, etc.
  • Apply process chemistry used for cleaning, de-staining, deodorizing, disinfecting, etc.
  • Technicians will be required to participate on an on-call rotation for emergency services.

Job Requirements:

  • On time all the time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must have a professional appearance and great attitude
  • Must live within a reasonable distance of our location in Conroe
  • Be able to work well with others to meet and exceed assigned goals
  • Set times of availability and willingness to work some on call / afterhours work
  • Valid driver license with a reasonable driving record and have reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check; this is an insurance program requirement
  • Other duties as necessary

Education:  High school diploma / GED; college or trade-school a plus
