Our Story

Views of the Cincinnati, OH skyline and such attractions as Devou Park, Twin Oaks Golf and Plantation Club, and the Newport Aquarium make Northern Kentucky a great place to live or visit. “We love this area for its people and climate,” says Greg Hilycord, owner of PuroClean of Northern Kentucky. Greg and his wife have lived in the Northern Kentucky area and in the same house for over 20 years. Greg recalls the time they returned from vacation to find their basement filled with water due to sump pump failure. “We truly were not prepared for this. I can certainly remember the sound of the non-stop blowing of the fans in the effort to dry out the carpet. As a PuroClean owner I want to remember that feeling of helplessness I had as a homeowner.” Along with sump pump and plumbing issues, some homes lie along the Ohio and Licking Rivers, which can flood during heavy rains. According to the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, flooding is Kentucky’s most common and costly natural disaster. Our Team

Greg Hilycord

Owner

Greg is the owner and operator of PuroClean of Northern Kentucky and sincerely enjoys building a team to run a successful business. He is also a huge sports fan, faithfully watching the Green Bay Packers and attending every Purdue football home game. Outside of watching football, Greg says that he enjoys playing the “ever so frustrating game [of golf] with his son and friends.” Greg and his wife Jane have been married for over 40 years and attend First Church in Union.

Lauren Hilycord

Office Manager

Lauren is new to the industry, but she is excited to learn all the different aspects of Puroclean. Lauren has a degree from Indiana University and she has experience in customer service, leadership, and communication. She is very excited to join the Puroclean family and looks forward to helping all the future Puroclean customers!

Colin Medley

Business Development Representative

Colin has been in the insurance industry for 8 years and the restoration industry for 2. He has a degree from Michigan State University and experience in leadership, sales, and management. Colin enjoys golfing, traveling, hanging with his fiancé and dog, and cheering for his MSU Spartans and Cincinnati Bengals when he is not helping customers and clients with their restoration needs.

Allen Womacks

Mitigation Manager

Allen is our mitigation manager with over four years of experience in the property damage restoration industry. A 20-year Marine veteran, Allen is a dedicated family man to his wife and child. His hobbies include playing games, hiking, and watching his favorite teams, the Cincinnati Bearcats and Cincinnati Bengals.

John Reynolds

Head Mitigation Technician

John is PuroClean of Northern Kentucky's Head Mitigation Technician. With eight years of experience in the industry, his persistence and "whatever it takes" attitude to assist customers have earned him well-deserved praise. When he isn't at work, John cherishes spending quality time with his family, hunting, and rooting for the University of Kentucky athletics.

Nick Ingram

Project Manager

With over six years of experience, Nick is a valued member of our reconstruction team. With his diverse skill set, he is a versatile and talented individual who can easily handle various tasks. You can find Nick golfing or hiking during his downtime. A devoted sports fan, he loves cheering for Ohio State University athletics and the Bengals and coaches youth football for Milford schools.

Matthew Heagerty

Head Estimator/ Project Manager

As our head estimator and project manager, Matt is motivated to turn a challenging situation into a positive outcome. He has 15 years of experience in the restoration and reconstruction industry. Before joining PuroClean, Matt worked for another restoration company and owned a roofing business. He loves to read, travel with his family, and watch the University of Kentucky and Bengals games.
