“Coronavirus” is an umbrella term for many types of viruses that have been known to cause respiratory diseases in both people and animals. The 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19; previously 2019-nCoV) is a new strain that has been recently discovered and publicized worldwide. PuroClean of Green Bay uses the PuroClean RapidDefense™ system to provide deep mitigation cleaning in areas compromised by a Coronavirus or Influenza outbreak. Using this process, the team at PuroClean of Green Bay will carefully contain the area and will minimize the risk of pathogens spreading using The Environmental Protection Agency-registered (EPA) products. If there are any lingering odors, our trained technicians will deodorize the area and return your Green Bay, WI area property back to its pre-loss condition with empathy and care.
The coronavirus pandemic is still spreading and government leaders and health experts continue to urge the population to follow strict and particular measures for protection. PuroClean’s De Pere and Green Bay coronavirus cleaning services help reduce COVID-19 outbreak related contamination. We are now performing deep mitigation cleaning of all touch-point surfaces, and also using disinfectants that are EPA registered. Our COVID-19 cleaning services are available for any commercial, residential, industrial and institutional properties. Get in touch with PuroClean today to find out more about our COVID-19 cleaning services and more.
Individuals that are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet) are at the highest risk of spreading COVID-19 in a “person-to-person” manner. Small respiratory droplets projected through coughing or sneezing produce tiny droplets that may land on the nose or mouth or be inhaled into the lungs of someone nearby. This is most commonly how COVID-19 spreads rapidly. Therefore, it is believed that person-to-person is the most common way the disease spreads.
As stated by the CDC, there is a possibility that someone can contract COVID-19 by touching a surface or object with the virus on it and then placing their hand on their own mouth, nose, or even their eyes.
PuroClean will initially conduct a complete inspection of your home or office. We then make a determination on the level of containment required and speak to you about the plan of action.
PuroClean technicians will mobilize their crew and perform an initial walkthrough to confirm that the property is ready for our cleaning procedures. The technicians will map out a plan for the flow of work and conduct the full cleaning as effectively as possible.
It is of extreme importance to work with biohazard removal while also paying strict attention to safety, industry and OSHA standards and guidelines. Our skilled technicians wear special Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your personal safety. PuroClean will also contain the area, taking the appropriate steps to keep you and your loved ones or employees safe as well.
All of our trained technicians are required to wear PPE. This particular protective equipment includes a full-face respirator which protects from any type of splashes contacting the mucous membranes in the mouth, nose, and eyes. Also, our technicians wear Biohazard protective coveralls, Nitrile gloves, and shoe covers.
Our trained professionals are industry-certified and use hospital grade disinfectant products that are EPA-registered. These products include towelettes, containing pharmaceutical ingredients, meeting OSHA’s bloodborne pathogen standard against diseases like the coronavirus and much more that lead to disease. The disinfectant solutions also protect against viruses, tuberculosis, mildew, and mold.
The cleaning materials our technicians normally work with include:
Puroclean uses three methods when using these disinfectants. Depending on the circumstances, technicians apply hospital grade, EPA-registered disinfectants in one of these three ways:
Synthetic curtains, upholstery and rugs: PuroClean technicians will clean these items manually or apply appropriate disinfectants for machine cleaning for these carpets and textiles and conduct needed extraction where necessary.
Natural fabrics, curtains, upholstery and rugs need cleaning that is in accordance with the guidelines of the manufacturer.
Disinfecting linens, clothing and personal fabrics: The instructions on each label should be followed when laundering the contaminated items. Note: Remember to disinfect washing machines following washing contaminated clothing.
Tanned leather materials – We can clean these materials by wiping the surfaces with a lightly moistened cloth with disinfectant solution or disinfectant towelettes.
Nu-buck and suede leather material: These items are to be cleaned in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction.
Concrete, cinder block, wood, plywood, and oriented strand board (OSB) – Cleansed by applying the disinfectant solution directly onto the surface.
HVAC System: Industry guidelines should be followed for the cleaning of HVAC internal ducts surfaces and components; by a licensed HVAC contractor or NADCA certified duct cleaner. Also, the external ductwork, registers, grates, grills and surfaces are to be washed using a disinfectant solution.
It is common for odors to dissipate once the infected areas are clean and begin to dry. However, our trained professionals will make the determination if more cleaning and deodorizing is required.
We understand that a biohazard event can be stressful and sensitive and must be handled with empathy, care and discretion. PuroClean restoration professionals are fully licensed and certified to follow all applicable laws and standards to remediate incidents safely.
RESPECTFUL: Our experienced biohazard cleaning technicians treat every affected area and item professionally and respectfully, as if it were their own.
HIGHEST STANDARDS: PuroClean uses products that are approved to provide protection, reduce the likelihood of spreading pathogens and prevent contamination.
ADVANCED CLEANING SYSTEM: PuroClean RapidDefense is an innovative procedure that is used to start the disinfection process of public places in the most effective and safe way possible. Our system uses disinfectants that help prevent virus and other pathogen-based contamination in areas close by.
EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectant will be used to clean all tools, equipment and PPE that was used during the coronavirus cleanup. Before leaving the location that had been contaminated with the coronavirus we will conduct this detailed cleaning.
Per the CDC, Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces are the recommended actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, like coronavirus. Since any surface can be re-contaminated after cleaning, and because the coronavirus is also spread person-to-person, PuroClean’s services are not guaranteed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) for more information regarding coronavirus, its spread, and prevention.
