Last month, we provided water damage restoration in McCordsville, IN to remediate a flood caused by a toilet tank. This was an upstairs toilet tank that cracked and affected the upstairs bathroom and downstairs basement.

This client was an elderly lady who was very upbeat and fun. She called us late in the afternoon, but that was not a problem for us. When you contact PuroClean Disaster Restoration, we’ll try to mitigate the damage as fast as possible. Here’s how we managed to restore the home.

How we provided the water damage restoration services in McCordsville

As mentioned, the broken toilet tank affected the upstairs
bathroom and downstairs basement. Unfortunately, the damage was quite severe. As
part of the water damage restoration process, we had to remove the tub and
surround in bathroom. In addition, we had to demolish the bathroom vanity and
downstairs ceiling.

Fortunately, mold didn’t have time to develop, as we extracted
the moisture quickly. So that was a bullet that was dodged! To dry up the area,
we used high-capacity air movers that create a vortex, similar to the motion of
a tornado. We also used professional dehumidifiers, which draws in cool, wet
air and blows out warm, dry air.

We completed the job in about one week after it began. During the process, we aimed at providing water damage repair with compassion and minimal disruption to the client’s daily life. Our project manager, Everett Jones, made a very good impression on the customer.

She did write us a very nice letter of referral:

My house was a sudden disaster after the upstairs toilet tank developed a crack in it and ran all night raining water in my family room from my ceiling in the morning and flooding bathroom & more destroying carpet, ceiling, couches„ pads, wood under, etc. I was in a panic. Called PuroClean & they still came out even though it was 5pm when I finally called & worked several hours (3 of them).,

They were friendly & so hard working & never stopped. They came back several days checking on their effective dryers & doing more work calling before they came to make sure it was within my schedule. We were even able to have some laughter & humor about “my incident” which made my dilemma more bearable. Truly I have worked with many companies in homes on construction, clean up, etc. and I have never had any one company be so good in all aspects.

I felt secure with them being throughout my house and feel they were very honest and did what was expected of them by Everett, the supervisor who I can’t say enough about. He keeps his word, he explains things, and he works hard right along with everyone. This has been very traumatic for me …but they made it so much more bearable. I would definitely use them again but of course hopeful it is never necessary. So I highly recommend them to anyone that has sudden damage or any other household problems. Thanks Everett, thanks team! 🙂
