Hot off the hoopla, PuroClean of The Big Island charged into Hilo\u2019s 33rd annual Relay for Life<\/strong> this past Saturday, July 19, 2025<\/strong>, blazing in like a posse of cancer-fighting paniolo! This year\u2019s western-themed showdown had teams digging into creativity, but none rocked that cowboy spirit quite like Team PuroClean. Horseshoes, cowboy hats, boots, and grit\u2014these local heroes built a boot\u2011stompin\u2019 booth that rustled up donations faster than a galloping mustang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nice \u2018n\u2019 steady\u2014it\u2019s time to describe the beast! Relay for Life is the signature community fundraiser<\/strong> of the American Cancer Society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a night to celebrate survivors<\/strong>, remember loved ones<\/strong>, and fund life-saving support and research<\/strong> at the local level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, at the 32nd annual Relay, 71 teams rallied<\/strong>, smashing fundraising goals and raising a whopping $218,605<\/strong> to support island cancer fighters Big Island Now<\/a>. That money goes to ACS programs like free rides to treatment, lodging at Hope Lodge, information hotlines, and critical research aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading the charge is Olga<\/strong> Lehua<\/strong><\/a>, PuroClean of The Big Island\u2019s Administrative Services Specialist superstar, whose lively vocals and choreography brought tears, cheers, and unstoppable smiles. Their stage presence wasn\u2019t just entertainment\u2014it was a sonic embrace of hope and determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
