The spirit of giving is alive and glowing brighter than ever in our little town of Hilo! On the evening of October 29th, 2025<\/strong>, St. Joseph School<\/a> transformed its campus into a Halloween wonderland for its first-ever<\/em> Tent or Treat<\/strong> \u2014 and the turnout was nothing short of amazing! Families came from all corners of town, little ghouls and superheroes in tow, ready for a night of laughter, sweets, and community spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, PuroClean of The Big Island<\/strong> was right there in the middle of the fun \u2014 tent up, lights on, and candy bowls overflowing! Our team went all out with a spooky-fun decorated tent that not only handed out mountains of candy but also gave away finger lights, small toys, and smiles<\/strong> to every trick-or-treater who stopped by. The kids\u2019 excitement was contagious \u2014 glow lights were flashing, laughter echoed through the air, and it felt like the whole town was wrapped in one big Halloween hug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event kicked off at 5 p.m. and ran until 6:30, but the energy could\u2019ve easily lasted all night. The school grounds were buzzing with creativity and joy. There was a costume contest<\/strong> that had the crowd cheering as princesses, pirates, aliens, and dinosaurs strutted their stuff. Meanwhile, the best decorated tent contest<\/strong> brought out some serious Halloween artistry \u2014 from jailhouses to candy castles, every tent was its own mini attraction. And yes, PuroClean\u2019s tent definitely turned some heads!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fun didn\u2019t stop there. Games, activities, and photo ops popped up in every corner, making it impossible not to smile. Even the local media showed up to capture the magic \u2014 N\u0101 Leo TV<\/a><\/strong> was on-site, interviewing excited students, proud faculty, and a few of the shining stars of the night, including Miss Hawai\u2018i Island\u2019s Teen 2025, Olga Lehua<\/strong>, who helped bring even more sparkle to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what really made Tent or Treat so special wasn\u2019t just the costumes, the candy, or the contests \u2014 it was the feeling of community<\/em>. Everyone came together, from local businesses and volunteers to families and students, to make sure every keiki left with full candy bags and even fuller hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And just when you thought the giving couldn\u2019t get any sweeter, one generous local farmer began handing out freshly grown sweet potatoes out of his trailer <\/strong>to anyone who wanted some. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In true Hilo fashion, the simple act of giving reminded everyone what this town is all about \u2014 kindness, community, and aloha in action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For PuroClean of The Big Island<\/strong>, being part of this event was more than just fun \u2014 it was an honor. Supporting local schools and joining hands with the community is at the heart of what we do. Seeing the smiles on all those little faces (and a few big ones, too!) made every bit of effort worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the sun set on a night of laughter, light, and plenty of sugar rushes, one thing was clear: Tent or Treat was a huge success!<\/strong> PuroClean of The Big Island was ecstatic to be part of it and can\u2019t wait to do it all again next year \u2014 bigger, brighter, and even more spirited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because in Hilo, Halloween isn\u2019t just about treats\u2026 it\u2019s about togetherness<\/em>. \ud83c\udf3a\ud83d\udc7b\ud83c\udf6c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
