JULIE HOLTON: Storm Season is here and we all know that mother nature can strike with little warning. Steve what’s the first thing we should do if we notice the basement flooding?
STEVE SCOTT: Well, start by making sure everyone is safe. Don’t step in standing water if there could be electricity through it. You don’t actually want to clean anything until we get there. Cleaning can do more harm than good if you don’t use the right materials. Move valuables if it’s safe, but leave the cleaning to us.
JULIE HOLTON: Especially if there is sewage! Steve what can we expect once you arrive?
STEVE SCOTT: We’ll pump out the contaminated water, remove debris, and figure out where the water or sewage backup is. We’ll also remove and replace any damaged drywall or floors. We have industrial equipment to speed up the drying process and will sanitize with special cleaners and eliminate and prevent mold.
JULIE HOLTON: My advice, leave it to an expert to avoid injury or illness
