Who We Are<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

PuroClean of Huntington provides emergency property restoration services throughout Long Island. We help homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, smoke, mold, biohazard, and other types of property damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Lead Restoration Technician who can perform restoration work, lead technicians in the field, and help manage projects from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ideal candidate is hardworking, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking charge in challenging situations. This person must communicate professionally with customers and coworkers while maintaining high standards for safety, workmanship, and customer service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Primary Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Lead and perform water mitigation, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and other property restoration services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Respond to scheduled projects and emergency service calls when needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Establish an efficient workflow and coordinate the labor, equipment, materials, and other requirements for each project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Provide clear direction to restoration technicians and supervise their work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment, air-filtration devices, and containment systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Perform demolition, cleaning, remediation, equipment placement, and material handling as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Identify jobsite hazards and establish appropriate safety controls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Follow and enforce company safety procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Explain the restoration process and answer customer questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Monitor customer concerns and communicate important developments to management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Complete photographs, moisture readings, equipment records, daily notes, and other required job documentation accurately and on time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Maintain clear communication with customers, office staff, managers, technicians, insurance representatives, and subcontractors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Monitor assigned projects from start to finish to ensure customer needs are met.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Protect customer property and use company vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials responsibly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Assist with the inspection and routine maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • At least two years of experience in property restoration, water mitigation, mold remediation, construction, cleaning, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Previous leadership or crew-supervision experience is preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong communication and customer-service skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ability to lead, coach, and work alongside other technicians.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Effective problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ability to maintain accurate job records and use mobile documentation applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Basic math and computer skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • High school diploma or GED.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Valid driver\u2019s license and clean driving record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ability to successfully complete a background check.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Availability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Willingness to continue learning and developing restoration skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Preferred Certifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      IICRC certifications are preferred but not required. Relevant certifications may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not currently hold these certifications. Training and opportunities to earn additional certifications will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Physical Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds regularly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling height.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined or difficult areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Ability to work around cleaning products, restoration chemicals, dust, and varying jobsite conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and respiratory protection when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
