At PuroClean of Livingston, giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. Recently, our business development team had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at Paradise Farm<\/a><\/em>, home to the Arc of Morris County\u2019s summer camp program. Paradise Farm is more than just a camp, it’s a retreat built to enrich the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).<\/p>\n\n\n

ArcMorris relaunched its camp program in Summer 2023 at this beautiful new location, and it was truly inspiring to see firsthand the care and commitment they put into creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for their residents. Campers enjoy nature exploration, hands-on interaction with farm animals, creative arts & crafts, and even off-site field trips all designed to provide meaningful and joyful experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As volunteers, our role was to help prepare and maintain the grounds. Our team<\/a> rolled up their sleeves and took part in a variety of tasks including weeding around the creeks, fire pit, and hiking trails, laying down fresh mulch, gardening, and even building and staining raised garden beds. It was a rewarding experience to contribute to the upkeep of a space that brings so much joy and peace to its visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the unexpected highlights of the day? The farm\u2019s friendly chickens! They roamed freely, adding a charming touch to our workday. Their carefree presence reminded us of the simple joys of nature and community.<\/p>\n\n\n

We were warmly welcomed by Laura Jennings Pitt, the Director of Development, Marketing, and PR for ArcMorris. She gave us a wonderful overview of the farm\u2019s mission and the impactful services they provide to residents. Her passion and dedication were truly inspiring and made us even more proud to support such an amazing organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteering at Paradise Farm was a new and fun experience for our team. We left with dirty hands, full hearts, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible work ArcMorris is doing. We look forward to continuing to support their mission in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n
