{"id":486,"date":"2021-01-12T13:18:31","date_gmt":"2021-01-12T13:18:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.puroclean.com\/lynnwood-wa-puroclean-northwest\/biohazard-cleanup\/hoarding\/"},"modified":"2026-03-25T12:49:44","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T12:49:44","slug":"hoarding","status":"publish","type":"service","link":"https:\/\/www.puroclean.com\/lynnwood-wa-puroclean-northwest\/services\/biohazard-cleanup\/hoarding\/","title":{"rendered":"Hoarding Cleanup Seattle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A<strong>bout Hoarding<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoarding is a <strong>behavioral pattern<\/strong> of collecting and holding onto many items, even if they seem useless, and being <strong>unable<\/strong> to get rid of them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hoarding is a clinical disorder. <\/strong>It is recognized as a mental health condition in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We counsel family to not be <strong>angry<\/strong> with those in your midst with this disorder, not be <strong>embarrassed<\/strong> when we arrive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our assignment is the <strong>restoration of property<\/strong>, and to show <strong>respect<\/strong> to all those we interact with<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Just as you don\u2019t blame someone for wearing glasses, braces, or being in a wheelchair, so too this disorder needs <strong>understanding and compassion<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are five stages of hoarding, each increasingly more severe.
