Our owner, Bruce, has spent most of his adult life in account and project management. The driving force behind his success throughout the years has been his unwavering devotion to a “customer centric” philosophy. We recognize that the customer’s needs are paramount, including but not limited to: traditional mitigation, process consultation and education, scheduling adaptation, and timely communication management. What sets us apart from the crowd is our laser-focus on our clients. We realize that most of our engagements involve clients who have never experienced a major property claim before. Thus, they are not only concerned about the damage to their property and possessions but also uncomfortable with a process that is completely foreign and unknown to them. Consequently, each of our technicians is trained to thoroughly review our mitigation plan with our clients and also to talk, in general, about what they can expect during the insurance process. We find that this approach helps take some of the mystery out of the situation for the clients, reducing their anxiety.
A Systematic Property Damage Restoration Approach.
When we receive a call, we start by making sure that the immediate danger for the customers has passed. We ask if they: have they called the Fire Department; are out of the house; have stopped the water leak; etc. Next, we try to ascertain as much detail as possible regarding the emergency from our customers on the initial telephone call, including their address and a contact telephone number, in case we need to contact them in transit. We ask what rooms are affected, where they are located in the home, and for a brief description of each involved room. This information indicates what equipment we need to bring. Upon arriving, we review the damage with the owners, develop a mitigation plan, and have the owners sign a Service Authorization. We begin mitigation immediately. While the process may vary depending on the type of damage, we always take the appropriate steps to protect our customers’ undamaged furniture and belongings. We also take pictures, room measurements, and initial readings during this time to provide our insurance carriers with mitigation estimates. During the scope of the project, we return daily to check mitigation progress, take readings, rearrange equipment as necessary, and update the homeowner on progress. Upon completion, we remove all the equipment, clean the areas affected, and ask our customer to complete the service survey. Finally, within 24 hours, we submit our Xactimate invoice, equipment logs, and all supporting documentation to the insurance carrier for review and payment.

Property Damage Restoration is More than a Technical Problem
Over the years, we have completed several complicated jobs, both residential and commercial. One of our largest clients is a property management company that manages several apartments and condos in the UNC Charlotte area. Consequently, we regularly are called to mitigate water damage and fire or smoke damage in multiple adjoining units at the same time. Another interesting project was for a customer with severe respiratory issues. While in the hospital for treatment of those issues, a pipe broke in her house, damaging the kitchen, hallway, laundry room, and the crawlspace. We were charged with drying out the home, while not introducing any machines or products that would have a negative effect on her fragile condition. Working with the customer, her doctors, and our suppliers, we identified a plan and the products for a successful mitigation.
Our service area encompasses a 45-mile radius around the Cornelius and Lake Norman area. Going north, we service from Hickory, North Carolina to China Grove, and heading south, we cover the greater Charlotte area to Gaston County. Our service area is not only one of the most desirable areas of the country to live, due to the proximity of the local lakes, Atlantic beaches, and mountain access, it is also desirable because of its people. In our day to day activities, we meet people at one of the most stressful and upsetting times of their lives. However, the level of concern and hospitality they show our team during these engagements never ceases to amaze us. While still experiencing a change of seasons, our winters are short, mild, bright, and sunny. Whether you love the ocean breeze of summer or enjoy hitting the mountain slopes in the winter, both are available with a short commute. With Lake Norman in our backyard boating, fishing and swimming are readily available. If you’re a sports fan, this is the center of the NASCAR universe. We boast great pro franchises in football and basketball and some of the most storied college athletic programs in the country are just a short commute away. Even more, we have the people and their unending “Southern Charm and Hospitality.”
Seamless Partnerships With Insurance Removes Hassle, Delays

We have relationships in Mooresville, Statesville, Huntersville, Kannapolis and throughout the Cornelius region.
Like many of my neighbors, our owner Bruce’s family chose to move here partly due to the “great weather,” partly because of its strategic location to the lake, beaches, and mountains, partly due to the sports and the people, but also due to its thriving economy and easy accessibility to major highways and other desirable metropolitan areas. Bruce is an active member of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, attending several functions throughout the year. He is also an active member of the Lake Norman Business Networking Group.
