Modern medical facilities are critical to society, especially during these trying pandemic-times. As such, any damage to an operating medical office can cause big problems within a community. We recently provided fire restoration services to a local medical center, following an electrical short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restoring a 10,000 square foot building<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The property manager of the medical center called in our team at PuroClean of East Orlando because a fire damaged an entire wing of the facility. A restroom light fixture initiated the blaze and it spread to the rest of the 10,000 square foot building. The Fire Department extinguished the blaze quickly, but the damage was extensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smoke, fire and water damage rendered the entire floor of the wing inoperable. The ceiling, walls, and floor required major reconstruction. But before we could begin with demolition and reconstruction, we performed a \u201cpack-out\u201d on the furniture and other items that could be salvaged. We transported any contents that could be cleaned and restored to a new facility, once our team cataloged everything. Then, we properly disposed of everything that could not be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the wing finally cleared of contents, our team began demolition on the burnt structure. We carefully stripped the affected parts of the building down to the frame and foundation. Then, we began reconstruction, restoring the facility to its pre-loss condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our team worked quickly to minimize the disruption to the services the facility provides for the community. Patients who require treatment rely heavily on this local medical center so it was important to us that we finish as efficiently as possible. The property managers extended their most sincere appreciation for working swiftly and effectively, as the job lasted only 2 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
