Jose says there is much activity in Fort Lauderdale from tourists and new residents, alike. Tourists come to spend time at the beaches, like the bustling Hollywood North Beach Park or the quieter Dania Beach area. Tourists and residents enjoy shopping at local malls, like Sawgrass Mills, and new residents are flocking to the area from across the world to experience the warmth and wide array of community activities in South Florida. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Because this area attracts many tourists, business owners need to be particularly diligent in providing safe, sanitized spaces for people to gather. Also, while Plantation and the surrounding areas are full of community activity, the hurricane season is not far from people\u2019s minds. From June 1st through November 30th hurricanes can cause significant damage to homes and businesses.
