On June 4, 2022, PuroClean of Clairemont employees volunteered for the Feeding San Diego food drive. Our owner, Tyrone Thomas, project manager Sean Thomas, and lead technician Danny Ayala made the 20-minute commute from Clairemont to San Diego to assist with the food drive.
Feeding San Diego is an organization dedicated to “connect[ing] every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue” in the San Diego community, per their website. The organization provides more than 40.3 million meals annually to individuals impacted by food insecurity.

PuroClean’s Community Involvement
Along with his involvement in Feeding San Diego, Tyrone is a member of the community outreach program with the Community Associations Institute (CAI). The organization was responsible for putting the fundraiser together.
As part of our mission to help the community, we gathered donations from several property management and realtor companies throughout San Diego. As a network, the CAI collected over 1,500 pounds of non-perishables and prepared over 350 care boxes for families in need.

It has been reported that one in three people in San Diego go hungry, and we are honored to have the opportunity to give back to our local community.
When reflecting on the impact of the Feeding San Diego food drive, Tyrone says, “I am blessed to be in a position to help my communities and will continue to help all that I can.”
