The client contacted us to perform COVID-19 sanitation<\/a> at a Lakeland assisted living facility. Two of the rooms were exposed to the pathogen, and they needed immediate cleaning. The facility’s residents are some of the most at-risk people we have in our society, and they rely on the sanitation of their living quarters to safely go about their days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When performing a coronavirus or human waste cleaning<\/a>, we always wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This includes a full-face respirator to guard the mucous membranes of the mouth, nose, and eyes. We also wear biohazard protective coveralls, shoe covers, and Nitrile gloves. We use hospital-grade disinfecting products, containing pharmaceutical ingredients that meet OSHA\u2019s bloodborne pathogen standard against diseases like the coronavirus and other disease-causing bacteria, viruses, mold, and mildew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our technicians applied the disinfectant using a spray application. It\u2019s the preferred method and can be used whenever the surface or item is visibly free of soil and dirt. This method is also very efficient, which was important to the client, as time was of the essence to them. We ended up completing this job only two hours after being contacted, which greatly pleased the client.<\/p>\n\n\n
