“Coronavirus” is an umbrella term for many types of viruses that have been known to cause respiratory diseases in both people and animals. The 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19; previously 2019-nCoV) is a new strain that has been recently discovered and publicized worldwide. PuroClean of Broomfield uses the PuroClean RapidDefense™ system to provide deep mitigation cleaning in areas compromised by a Coronavirus or Influenza outbreak. Using this process, the team at PuroClean of Broomfield will carefully contain the area and will minimize the risk of pathogens spreading using The Environmental Protection Agency-registered (EPA) products. If there are any lingering odors, our trained technicians will deodorize the area and return your Northern Colorado - Denver, Superior, Louisville, Lafayette, Boulder, Broomfield, Thornton, Westminster, Loveland, Longmont, Greeley, CO area property back to its pre-loss condition with empathy and care.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to rise and health and government officials notify people to take appropriate precautions to protect themselves, one of the best ways to slow its progression is by performing deep mitigation cleaning of all touch-point surfaces, while also using an EPA-registered disinfectant. These methods of cleaning can be utilized for institutions, commercial, and residential properties. Our coronavirus cleaning services will help reduce contamination related to the COVID-19 outbreak. Call your local PuroClean office for more information on how we can help clean your property.
It has been widely reported that the spread of COVID-19 is prevalent by individuals who are in close contact with each other (within about 6 feet), through small respiratory droplets that are blown into the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The tiny droplets end up in the mouths or noses of others who are nearby. It is also possible for these droplets to be inhaled into the lungs. This is why COVID-19 is believed to spread most prevalently from person-to-person.
According to the CDC, it may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object which has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.
We begin by completing a full inspection of your home or office premises. We will then decide what level of containment you need and relay the plan of action to you.
PuroClean will need to determine the workflow in order to finish your cleanup project as soon as possible. When they first arrive at your location they will conduct a preliminary inspection of your property to make sure it is ready for cleaning so as to complete this step quickly and efficiently.
It is key to perform biohazard removal with special attention to safety and industry and OSHA guidelines. Our trained staff wear special Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure their safety. They also contain the area, taking the appropriate steps to keep you and your family or employees out of harm’s way as well.
All of our trained technicians are required to wear PPE. The protective equipment includes a full-face respirator that provides protection from any type of splashes reaching the mucous membranes in the mouth, nose, and eyes. Also, our technicians wear Biohazard protective coveralls, Nitrile gloves, and shoe covers.
Specific use towelettes are used that also conform to OSHA’s bloodborne pathogen standard against diseases like the coronavirus and numerous more diseases, bacteria, mold, mildew, tuberculosis, and viruses. These and other cleaning supplies used by our industry certified professionals are all hospital grade and EPA-registered disinfectant products.
The cleaning materials commonly used by our technicians include:
Puroclean implements three methods when using these disinfectants. Depending on the circumstances, our workers apply hospital grade, EPA-registered disinfectants in one of these three ways:
Synthetic carpets, rugs, curtains, and upholstery – Our technicians will either clean these items manually or, for machine cleaning, they will apply approved disinfectants for textiles and carpets and then extract where applicable.
Natural fabrics, curtains, upholstery and rugs require cleaning that is in following with the guidelines of the manufacturer.
Important: Washing machines should always be disinfected after contaminated items are washed. For the disinfecting of clothing, linens and other personal fabrics, contaminated articles are to be laundered following instructions on every label.
Tanned leather materials – We clean these material items by wiping the surfaces with a lightly moistened towel and disinfectant solutions or disinfectant towelettes.
Suede and Nu-buck leather material – Cleaned according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
Concrete, cinder block, wood, plywood, and oriented strand board (OSB) – Cleaned by applying the disinfectant solution directly onto the items.
HVAC system – HVAC internal duct surfaces and components should be cleaned in accordance with industry guidelines by a licensed HVAC contractor or NADCA certified duct cleaner. External ductwork surfaces, grills, grates, and registers should be cleaned with a disinfectant solution.
Normally, when the affected area has been cleaned and starts to dry, the odors will disappear. Our technicians will decide, however, whether any further deodorization is required.
We understand that a biohazard event can be stressful and sensitive and must be handled with empathy, care and discretion. PuroClean restoration professionals are fully licensed and certified to follow all applicable laws and standards to remediate incidents safely.
RESPECTFUL: Our biohazard cleaning technicians treat every affected area and item respectfully and professionally, as if it were their own.
HIGHEST STANDARDS: PuroClean uses proven products approved to provide protection, reduce the risk of spreading pathogens and prevent contamination.
ADVANCED CLEANING SYSTEM: PuroClean RapidDefense is an effective procedure that is used to start the sanitization process of public areas the most effective way possible. Our process uses disinfectants that help prevent virus and other pathogen-based contamination in nearby areas.
EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectant will be used to clean all tools, equipment and PPE that was used during the coronavirus cleanup. Before leaving the location that had been contaminated with the coronavirus we will conduct this meticulous cleaning.
Per the CDC, Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces are the recommended actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, like coronavirus. Since any surface can be re-contaminated after cleaning, and because the coronavirus is also spread person-to-person, PuroClean’s services are not guaranteed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) for more information regarding coronavirus, its spread, and prevention.
