Our business is restoration, but we love doing so much more around the community. Throughout the year we participate in events that raise awareness of and funds for local charities. Some of these charities represent causes that have personally affected our team, while others have impacted our community and community members. We also attend community events that connect us with the people we serve and with business partners we collaborate with. We just wrapped up a stretch of events bridging us together with some incredible people and benefitting some amazing charities. Keep reading for a recap.
Conferences and Golf Outings Connect PuroClean with Community
We have finally finished what we have dubbed the “PuroClean Pro Tour,” and what a season full of incredible events and people! We recently sponsored and participated in a variety of events, including the Western Loss Association (WLA) golf outing and conference, the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA of IL) convention, the Fight to End Alzheimer’s golf outing, and the Fight For Frankie charity outing.
We started this string of events in Delavan, Wisconsin with the WLA golf outing and conference where we were silver-level sponsors. We were so excited to be a part of WLA’s golf outing and conference this year! Steve Martinez, our VP of Business Development, has worked with the members for years, forming a close connection. Steve was accompanied by Account Manager, Michelle, for the conference. They had a great time celebrating the successes from this year and looking ahead to next year’s continued growth!
Next up was the IIA of IL Convention in Springfield, Illinois, one of the largest Illinois-based conventions in the insurance industry. It is a wonderful event to connect, network, and share with insurance agents from all over the state. We shared the sponsorship with our friends, Paul and Dana Reiss, who own and operate the PuroClean of Caseyville franchise location. We had a great time, discussing business and collaborating with some passionate and committed insurance agents!
Special Events Raise Awareness and Support for Charities
The PuroClean Pro Tour hasn’t been all fun and games; we have contributed a great deal to raise awareness of causes and fundraise money for those in need. We started with the sixth annual Fight to End Alzheimer’s outing in Elk Grove, IL, hosted by Am Fam agent Matt Harrold. Matt lost his mother to Alzheimer’s in 2019 after a four-year battle with the disease. This year they were able to raise over $31,000 to put towards Alzheimer’s research! We were honored to be able to sponsor a hole and provide some additional volunteers for the event. This is an event we hold near and dear to our hearts and look forward to being a part of for many years to come.
Following the Alzheimer’s walk, we attended the third annual Fight for Frankie outing, held in support of pediatric cancer through Cal’s Angels. Cal’s Angels is a pediatric cancer foundation with a mission to grant wishes, raise awareness, and fund research to help kids fighting cancer. Our sponsored hole was attended by Michelle, Steve, and our compliance coordinator, Tony, who is a frequent visitor of the bar and grill that hosted the event, the Neighborhood Inn.
