Last weekend, PuroClean of Denver provided coronavirus cleaning for a senior living facility in Denver. The 50,000 sq ft facility did not have any confirmed COVID-19 cases, but they wanted to make sure everything was adequately clean according to CDC guidelines.
At PuroClean, we specialize in COVID-19 cleaning, and we are prepared to provide them to companies in Denver or nearby areas. However, please note that, while we have processes in place to assist with reducing the further spread of infection, PuroClean cannot guarantee the removal of COVID-19 from surfaces. Our COVID-19 biohazard cleanup services limit the survival of the virus in commercial and residential environments, helping to prevent the spread.
Therefore, we applaud the assisted living facility management for their decision to be proactive in preventing infections. We arrived at their premises soon after the call. Here’s how we managed to clean up the facility.
Coronavirus cleaning in the senior living facility in Denver
First, together with their maintenance team, we established the cleaning steps to follow according to the CDC guidelines. Seven technicians worked on-site to clean areas such as kitchen, living rooms, dining rooms, dance rooms, game rooms, hallways, etc.
Before we started the coronavirus cleanup, we ensured the safety of our technicians and any third parties involved. For the safety and protection of our employees, customers, and the community, our trained professionals wore Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). They also informed the client on actions to take for everyone’s safety during and after the cleaning process.
Part of the team outside the facility ready to clean COVID-19 with full PPE HEPA vacuuming soft goods and cleaning the walls Bringing in the air scrubber, equipment, and supplies to start cleaning on the top floor Applying disinfectant to all surfaces after pre-cleaning
The cleaning process could start only once the safety measures were in place. We first pre-cleaned surfaces, then applied the disinfecting agent that’s effective for Sars-CoV-2, waited for 10 minutes (dwelling time of the product), and then wiped the surfaces. Check out our full procedures on our coronavirus cleaning page.
All in all, it took us two full days to clean the property thoroughly. Our crew worked as fast as possible, even doing overtime so that the seniors could go back to their normal life. We got the phone call on Friday night, and we start the process on Saturday morning. Kudos to Jesus Villalobos, who was the project manager on site. He was the one coordinating everything and leading the team.
