Property damage was estimated at $14.8 billion.” Although it’s true that (most) possessions can be replaced, and we’re grateful when people make it out unhurt, property damage can affect victims (and their pockets) deeply.

One local woman, an 82-year-old grandmother, didn’t know what to do after a fire recently tore through her rented home.
