We had a flood situation in our home caused by a bad Culligan installation, and PuroClean Professional Restoration of Kingston, NY was absolutely amazing from start to finish! After the original remediation company (hired by Culligan) abruptly removed their equipment and left after just three days—with very little communication—we were feeling frustrated and concerned about the state of our home. PuroClean stepped in and immediately restored our confidence. Miriam Oseas Gibbons called right away to explain the process and set clear expectations, making us feel much more at ease. Right after we hung up, Justin Shipley arrived to walk through our home. He was incredibly thorough, taking moisture readings in every affected area and explaining everything he found step-by-step. It was clear we were finally in good hands. The professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care shown by the PuroClean team made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. We worked with Daniel Waage, who oversaw renovation of our townhouse that had been damaged by a failed hot water system. Working with Dan was a great experience. Dan was professional, a clear and reliable communicator, and extremely courteous. The quality of the work Dan oversaw was excellent and we were delighted with the final product which included installing drywall, painting over three floors and trim, a kitchen renovation, installation of a new closet under a stairway and installation of flooring. PART 2—Renovation My reno work was done while I was away visiting my family in Alaska. My hardwood floors in my kitchen and dining room had to be replaced, the lower portion of the wall between the two rooms had to be replaced which involved removal of the lower cabinets and a slab of granite counter top. Also , both rooms had to be repainted. When I returned, all was put back together, new hardwood floors installed and both rooms were painted. I called up Dan when I arrived home and told him how much I appreciated all the work he and his team accomplished in that time I was away. It was very labor intensive yet it all came together so that I had my kitchen back when I returned home —just as Dan said it would be. The rooms look brand new—and even better than before! Dan even suggested the paint color in the kitchen which I agreed was a great choice. Dan, along with Kevin and the Reno team, did a splendid job here. I am so thrilled and satisfied in how good I feel now that it’s done so beautifully. Also, what made feel this project was going so well was how Dan was always keeping me informed on each phase, addressing every detail, and always checking in with me to see if everything was going as I desired. Their conduct was very professional and extremely considerate and kind. I would highly recommend them. Their integrity is so refreshing to experience and so very much appreciated. Thank you all. —————————————————————————— PART 1—Remediation After being told that the leak from my refrigerator was more extensive than just a repair on the refrigerator and that I should contact my home insurance plus a remediation service, I was overwhelmed. PuroClean was recommended to me and they showed up the next day and began their work to analyze and review the damage caused by this pinhole leak in a hose. I had no idea how much area in my home was affected by standing water under floors and water dripping from the refrigerator to the downstairs basement. However, the PuroClean team did all work to dry up the areas, remove the materials damaged and prepared the areas affected to be ready for the next team to do the renovation. Their work, considerations, their kindness, attention to details and most of all their positive attitudes was so reassuring to me that I knew I was in great hands which eased my initial anxiety. They are truly the best folks to work with and who reflect how attentive they are to the project as well as to the overwhelmed homeowner by reassuring them each step of the way as to what is being done next.
