Commercial Water Damage Spans Several Floors, Derailing Insurance Operations

Water Restoration

Water damage will likely happen to any property owner. Though there are lots of ways to keep your property safe and dry, there will always be the unexpected. Anything from a natural disaster to a leaky faucet and more has the ability to cause water damage in a home. It’s important to address the source of the water damage and remove excess water as soon as possible to avoid further damage or mold growth.

PuroClean Helps Company Recover from Commercial Water Damage

In November 2021, we received a call about commercial water damage in the Lake Mary office of a national insurance company. We recognized the severity of the situation as soon as we were contacted and responded right away. We needed to work quickly and efficiently to mitigate the damage and get the company back to business!

When our team arrived at the scene, we immediately assessed the damage so we could create a plan and begin work. The building is five stories tall and the water damage affected the third floor all the way down to the basement. Each floor required its own equipment and attention. The most challenging part was the building only had one working elevator. It took lots of patience to get all the equipment where we needed it.

The drying was completed on November 22. Some areas dried a lot quicker than others, depending on the amount of moisture. In order to avoid the commercial water damage mitigation turning into mold remediation, our technicians had to be sure they extracted all the water and completely dried all affected areas. The business was extremely pleased with our work as we were able to help get the employees back to their job of helping others.
