JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Disaster Restoration Technician, You will be bringing equipment into the customers house and assisting in setting up drying equipment. Your responsibilities will include: removal of wet drywall, insulation, carpeting, hardwood and tile flooring, demolition and hauling debris out of the customers house. Experience with MICA and or other applications a plus. WRT/ASD certifications are preferred.
Also included: mold removal, post demolition cleaning, structural drying, cleaning rodent/bat infestations in attics and crawlspaces. There will be times where working in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces is required. (HOURS ARE NOT GUARANTEED)
At a minimum, Candidates must:
**VALID DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED
- Have knowledge in construction
- Be able to work independently and/or with a team
- Be reliable and dependable
- Be part of an on-call rotation and respond to after-hour calls
- Very good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Some construction knowledge needed and ability to use hand tools/power tools
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Excellent attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and/or online documentation such as moisture mapping, temperature and humidity readings.
- Experience using hand and small power tools
- Ability to navigate through smartphone/tablet and use the software that is critical to our business
- Ability to think and make competent decisions
- Water and Fire restoration experience is a big plus but not required: we will train the right candidate –
- Ability to work a flexible schedule is a must.
