Water Damage Threatens to Delay the “Robot Revolution”

In the movie, “The Terminator,” the T-800 was sent back in time to stop Sarah Connor from fighting the machines. However, most people don’t realize that the original script involved the T-800 going back in time to prevent water damage. The producers realized that calling PuroClean to do that is way more convenient and wouldn’t involve time travel, so they nixed it for the version of the film we all know and love. We recently encountered that very situation when a flood occurred in a local childrens’ robotics workshop called “Robot Revolution.”

“Hasta La Vista, Agua”

“Robot Revolution” is a robotics school for kids located in Summit, NJ. They were preparing to compete in a national competition when their workshop was flooded. They needed the area contained and cleaned quickly.

With their competition looming, they needed the job to be performed quickly so that classes wouldn’t be delayed. Acting with haste, we set up containment around the flooded areas so the moisture would not spread. We also had to move the school’s equipment that was not affected away from the water-damaged area, so our work wouldn’t interfere with them. Once our team set the perimeter, we began drying and sanitizing the water-damaged areas of the workshop.

In no time at all, we completed the job, and “Robot Revolution” was back on track. The kids proudly showed us the robots they were working on for their contest. These students were very bright, and we look forward to hearing about how they do at their tournament.
