Hurricane Laura was the first of what was unfortunately many major hurricanes to form in the 2020 season. It made landfall as a Category 4 storm over Louisiana on August 27th, where it tied the record for the 10th strongest hurricane to ever make landfall in the United States. It had sustained wind speeds of 150 mph, which caused catastrophic damage to everything in its path. Many areas are still feeling the effects of this storm.
