Handling Tragedy With Compassion and Sympathy

Biohazard Clean Up

Compassion is one of our core principles. When we work with clients, it is often at some of the most stressful junctions in their lives. We never lose sight of them as people and understand that their lives have been greatly impacted by whatever disaster brought us to them. We embrace our common humanity, and we hope to alleviate whatever unnecessary weight we can from their burdens.

Biohazard cleanups are one of the most crucial services we provide. The states are not responsible for the removal of bodies after major injuries and deaths, so we fill that role. When clients come to us for these services, it is the most difficult aspect of our jobs, not necessarily because of the technical requirements, but because of the human loss.

Recently, we were called in to help a client after a tragedy. They had called a variety of other companies to help them out, but inconceivably, no one had responded to them. Once we had received their call, we responded immediately and met them that very day. We always practice compassion and patience, so when we arrived, we offered to find the client a place to stay if they wished to not be in their home while we worked.

We worked diligently to be extra sure that things went as smoothly as possible. Our team inspected the areas that we knew to be affected and adjacent areas that had the potential to be. The client appreciated our thoroughness, and we were able to complete the job quicker than we had originally told them it would be.

But, these jobs are not easy to just leave and forget about. In fact, we do not want to forget them. After the cleanup was completed, we spoke to the client and offered to make a donation to their church and a nonprofit in the name of the deceased. May their memory live on and help others in need.

We want to remind everyone that they are not alone. If you or someone you know needs help, call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. They are available 24/7/365 for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals. They are 100% confidential.
