PuroClean Biohazard Removal Services Include:

Biohazard Cleanup Process:

  1. Our process begins with a plan. We thoroughly assess the contamination and create a safe and effective biohazard remediation plan.
  2. All potentially infectious materials are carefully removed from the site. Hazardous medical waste is handled in compliance with OSHA regulations, appropriately processed, and sent to a licensed hazardous medical waste incinerator.
  3. Porous materials such as carpet and bedding are removed in accordance with industry standards and government regulations. All other non-hazardous affected materials that are either removed or professionally decontaminated and sanitized.
  4. Remaining materials such as drywall and flooring may be sealed, usually for cosmetic reasons, to cover any stains from the incident.

Planning & Organization

To begin, we provide a full assessment of the incident and the area(s) affected. We will determine the level of containment needed and inform you of the plan of action.

Safety as a Priority

It is key to perform biohazard removal with special attention to safety and industry and OSHA standards. Our trained technicians wear special personal protective equipment to keep themselves safe. They also contain the area, taking the appropriate steps to keep you and your family or employees safe as well.

Medical Waste Removal

Hazardous medical waste, such as spinal fluid, peritoneal fluid, amniotic fluid, and other bodily fluids, is handled following OSHA regulations. It’s then sent to a licensed hazardous medical waste incinerator.

Thorough Cleanup & Decontamination

All affected porous material will be removed in accordance with industry standards and state regulations. All other infectious material will be safely discarded as well.  For non-porous surfaces, we will dry the affected area before applying a disinfectant. After allowing this to soak, we scrub, repeating the process to disinfect the space.

Deodorization

Typically, once the biohazard is cleaned and the area sanitized, odors dissipate. However, our crew will determine whether further deodorization is necessary. If so, we use hydroxyls or ozone to ensure the odor is gone.

Billy and the PuroClean team are the only folks we trust for remediation. They have been there for us when we needed them, including this July 4th when a dehumidifier in our attic backed up and water leaked into the ceiling above a bedroom. They made sure that none of that water turned into mold! Very thankful for the relationship we have with them.

I have used PuroClean twice now! My first time was when a storm damaged my roof and I had water leaking in. They were able to help me with the entire insurance process of having to have my roof replaced. They also made sure to do extensive preventative measures to ensure mold did not try to creep in. The second time I had a hot water heater bust. You cannot even tell there was a repair.
