Our Story

Boasting that it is the home to the most photographed courthouse in the country after the Supreme Court Building in Washington DC, and claiming that it has the only US Post office in two states, is the tourist destination of Texarkana. Texarkana is named after three states (Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana). Texarkana, AR, is located in Miller County and has a twin city across the border in Texas. Caterpillar, Honeywell, and Lockheed Martin are some of the major employers in the area. Texarkana’s uniqueness and diversity make it a great place to visit and live.

Texarkana offers a variety of entertainment options and dining venues like Holiday Springs Water Park, Texarkana Farmers Market, Perot Theatre, Redbone Magic Brewing, Hopkins Ice House, and Cinemark Texarkana 14.

The Perot Leadership Museum, Museum of Regional History, Discovery Place Children’s Museum, the Four States Auto Museum, The Gallery of 1894, Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council, Draughon-Moore Ace of Clubs House, and P.J. Ahern Home are excellent sites for art enthusiasts, culture seekers,  and history buffs to visit.

Texarkana’s green spaces, like the Wright Patman Dam & Park, Elliott Bluff Boat Ramp & Park, Clear Spring Park, Oak Park, Texarkana Golf Ranch, Bringle Lake Trail, Phillip McDougal Trail, and Spring Lake Park, provide outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers with opportunities for golfing, fishing, boating, biking, running, hiking, as well as, recreational areas.
