Biohazard Cleaning Services from PuroClean

Biohazard Cleanup Procedures

  1. Our process begins with a plan. We thoroughly assess the contamination and create a safe and effective biohazard cleanup and remediation plan.
  2. All potentially infectious materials (biohazardous materials) are carefully removed from the site. Hazardous medical waste is handled according to OSHA regulations, appropriately processed, and sent to a licensed hazardous medical waste incinerator.
  3. Porous materials such as carpet and bedding are removed per industry standards and government regulations. All other non-hazardous materials are either removed or professionally decontaminated and sanitized.
  4. Remaining materials such as drywall and flooring may be sealed to cover any stains from the incident, usually for cosmetic reasons.

Planning & Organization of Biohazard Cleanup

First, we provide a full assessment of the incident and the area(s) affected. We will determine the level of containment needed and inform you of the plan of action.

Safety as a Priority

It is vital to perform biohazard removal with particular attention to safety and industry and OSHA standards. Our trained technicians wear special personal protective equipment to keep themselves safe. They also contain the area, taking the appropriate steps to keep you and your family or employees safe.

Medical Waste Removal

Hazardous medical waste, such as spinal fluid, peritoneal fluid, amniotic fluid, and other bodily fluids, is handled following OSHA regulations. It’s then sent to a licensed hazardous medical waste incinerator.

Thorough Cleanup & Decontamination

All affected porous material will be removed per industry standards and state regulations. We will safely discard all other infectious material as well.  For non-porous surfaces, we will dry the affected area before applying a disinfectant. After allowing this to soak, we scrub, repeating the process to disinfect the space.

Deodorization

Typically, odors dissipate once the biohazard is cleaned and the area sanitized. However, our crew will determine whether further deodorization is necessary. We use hydroxyls or ozone to ensure the odor is gone.

PuroClean RapidDefense™ Program

PuroClean RapidDefense™ Program is designed to clean up and protect against MRSA, Influenza, Covid-19, or Norovirus contamination.

Stop your search. PuroClean is the company you want. We recently had our first home water incident, and I cannot say enough about how exceptional the entire PuroClean team was from start to finish. First, I want to recognize Drasko Samara, our project manager. He was absolutely on point the entire way. His communication, professionalism, and guidance were unmatched. He walked me through every step of the process, answered every question, and made a stressful situation incredibly manageable. A true professional. Their technicians were equally impressive. Walter Morales was one of the leads, and he was outstanding — professional, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable. We also had Verdun Villadeamigo, who was just as excellent. There were multiple technicians who came out throughout the job, and although I didn’t get everyone’s name, every single person was top-notch. Not one bad experience. These folks take pride in their work. PuroClean showed up on time, communicated clearly, and handled a tough, dirty job with positivity and professionalism. They saw the project through from beginning to end with incredible care and consistency. I was blown away. I would 100 percent recommend them to anyone. They are now my go-to company not only for my home, but also for any of my real estate clients who may need remediation services. If you have an issue, big or small, this is the team you want. Thank you again, PuroClean, for your time, effort, and exceptional service. You made a stressful experience so much easier, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Five stars all the way. Look no further — PuroClean is your team.
