While living in Augusta, Georgia, John and his family experienced Hurricane Helene in a way they will never forget. Two 80‑foot pine trees crashed through their home — one nearly landing in the bed where they slept. The destruction was overwhelming, but the emotional impact was even greater. In those chaotic moments, John felt exactly what so many families feel after a disaster: fear, uncertainty, and the desperate need for someone who knows what to do next.
