Our Story

Spanning the Sabine River and the Toledo Bend Reservoir in the west to the Mississippi River in the east is an area of expansive prairies, swamplands, dense forests of shedding trees, clear streams, large rivers, and hills of pines known as Central Louisiana (Cenla) (also referred to as the Crossroads).

Among the educational destinations are: the Alexandria Zoological Park, the Alexandria Museum of Art, and the Vermilionville Living History Museum in Lafayette.
