“We don’t just…” is a phrase that PuroClean of Clackamas and Hillsboro use when explaining all the services we offer.
“We don’t just” do emergency restoration.
“We don’t just” help rebuild homes.
“We don’t just” work with commercial and residential customers.
We do, and strive to do, so much more.
As well as having a highly trained staff of technicians ready to handle emergency restoration needs, or potential re-build needs, we have the ability to help our local insurance agents by hosting Continuing Education Classes (CE Classes).
Who is Ben Doebler, and how is he qualified to be an instructor?
PuroClean of Clackamas and Hillsboro are both independently owned and operated by Ben Doebler. We have been helping customers in the Portland Metro Area since January of 2015. Ben is not just the owner, but our certified CE Class instructor. His experience in the field, his knowledge of how the insurance industry works, and, his engaging personality, create the ideal conditions for a great classroom scenario.
What is Continuing Education (CE) and how do you make CE Classes interesting?
CE Classes are meant to give you, as an insurance producer, additional information to enhance education in your area of expertise. Our end goal is help you communicate more effectively with customers. Depending on the instructor, and their field of specialty, you get a firsthand look inside the field as that teacher can share their direct knowledge, expertise, and experience.
What would be considered a boring scenario?: “Bueller…. Bueller…”
If you have taken CE Classes over the course of many years you most likely at some point have encountered an in person class that has been less than great. The instructor tries really hard, but, unfortunately, either doesn’t have firsthand experience or can make even the most interesting topic dull.
As that instructor begins, within about 5 minutes, your elbow is placed gently on the table in front of you. You rest your chin on your hand and lean in, eyes start slowly blinking and lids become heavy. Your ability to pay attention is, well, over. And what did you learn? As a result, can you take anything back to your agency or something new to share with your customers? This can be a disappointing experience.
Our Scenario: ENGAGE!
A good CE Instructor (whether in-person or via Zoom) will keep you engaged. Ben brings many years of experience in both teaching CE Classes and working in the restoration industry. He asks questions to participants and encourages friendly debate. He talks with the attendees, not at them.
Since PuroClean is an emergency restoration company, our classes focus on prevention. We present ways to coach customers and agents to help attendees learn to avoid the pitfalls of bad restoration. Ben shares current, real-life, examples PuroClean has encountered in the field.
We do our best to educate you, as an Insurance Producer, by giving claim and restoration problem solving tips to all attendees. We want to ensure everyone knows the WHY behind what we do so they can educate their customers properly.
Why do you offer CE Classes?
PuroClean of Clackamas and Hillsboro offer these classes to stay community minded and have education, for our local insurance agencies, easily accessible. We typically offer classes at our main Hillsboro location or in agency offices. We, currently, are offering the classes via Zoom to meet State Regulations for the ‘no person to person’ contact guidelines, when applicable.
In class, we encourage thoughtful discussions from all attendees. We promote firsthand information from, not only the restoration side, but also from an agency standpoint. One of our goals is for the attendees to know they have a voice and a platform in which they can share ideas, which, in turn, is a great learning experience for everyone.
How do I attend one of your CE Classes?
You can always check out our CE Schedule on our ‘Events’ page on both of the websites for PuroClean of Clackamas and Hillsboro. Do you know which classes you still need? You can always check the NIPR (National Insurance Producer Registry) to see what classes you have taken and are still required. Are you in the Portland Metro Area? Consider contacting us for help to reach your CE credit goals.
