2021 Apartment Restoration Gives Columbus Complex a Fresh Look

One of the most important things one can do in any home is to keep it clean and well-cared for. But with more time spent in our houses over the past couple of years, it might be even more apparent there are some areas where neglect has set in. PuroClean of Westerville recently completed several projects as part of a total apartment restoration for a local complex. Our crew did everything from addressing mold to installing drywall to painting. There was a lot of work to do, but the tenants were ecstatic to finally return to the safety and comfort of their homes.

Apartment Restoration Job Includes Mold Remediation, New Insulation, Drywall, and Paint

In October 2021 we were contacted by the apartment manager for an apartment complex in Columbus, Ohio. The manager wanted to complete some apartment restoration work throughout the units. He was looking to have some mold remediated, drywall and insulation installed, and painting done. Our technicians were eager to help out and we got started on the tasks immediately. Our goal was to work as quickly and efficiently as possible during this job in order to cause as little disruption to the tenants’ lives as possible.

Our first focus was locating any mold and remediating it. Mold is not only unsightly but also dangerous to a person’s health. It is important to find and address the source of the mold to stop it from spreading or re-growing after the remediation. We were able to locate and treat mold in bathrooms and even behind the insulation in some of the rooms. The insulation was replaced, as was the drywall, in several units.

Our technicians really shined throughout this job. They understood the importance of getting everything completed quickly so the tenants could get back to their lives. They also showed patience and resolve throughout the process. When the complex supplied the paint to spruce up the units, our team soon realized that it wasn’t the same color. It took some back and forth to finally get the correct color so we could complete our work. Even though it was frustrating to not have the proper tools at first, everyone stayed patient, and it all worked out in the end.
