Our Story

“I have lived and worked in Berks County my entire life,” says Larry Goodman, owner of PuroClean of Reading. Much of his family lives here, and both he and his wife have a strong connection to the community. They have volunteered with Saint Joe’s Hospital, Salvation Army of Reading, The Reading Public Museum, the IM ABLE Foundation, and The Reading Hospital.  

He says, “We are your neighbors, residents of your local community. We support our schools including Wyomissing HS and Berks Catholic HS, Alvernia and Albright”

Larry has also worked closely with insurance companies and has managed real estate in the area. He spent 30 years in automotive retail in Reading, supporting the communities automotive needs.

Berks County has a mixture of older homes and new construction, both of which have the potential for property damage issues. Pipe bursts, poor insulation, and winter storms that lead to frozen pipes can all wreak havoc on a structure, no matter the age. Other issues, like hoarding, crimes, or infectious illness may require cleanup, as Laurence has experienced. At one of his commercial properties, the storefront window was broken, requiring swift board up.
