How to Use Fireworks Safely – the basics:
- Obey fireworks laws.
- Only purchase legal fireworks for your area.
- Keep fireworks safe and dry.
- Use fireworks with caution, following all safety instructions.
- Discard spent fireworks safely including waiting 20 minutes then soaking all spent fireworks and duds in water.
How to Stay Safe During Fireworks Display:
- Follow all safety protocols and don’t cross safety barriers.
- Stay at least 500 feet from the launch site.
- Don’t touch any fireworks remains.
How to Protect your Pets from Fireworks:
- Don’t take your pets to a fireworks display. They have sensitive ears!
- If neighborhood fireworks upset your pet, keep them in a safe, interior room and play music to muffle to sound.
