Community Connections: Building Relationships, Serving NE Ohio

At PuroClean Emergency Restoration, restoration is about more than drying buildings and removing damage, it’s about building relationships throughout the communities we serve. June was filled with opportunities to connect, learn, teach, and celebrate with our amazing partners across Northeast Ohio.

Celebrating Growth in Our Communities

We kicked off the month by attending several ribbon cuttings and groundbreaking ceremonies. It’s always exciting to celebrate local businesses that are investing in our communities. Watching businesses grow and welcoming new neighbors is one of the many reasons we love being involved with our local Chambers of Commerce.

Learning at the PuroClean International Convention

The second week of June took us to the PuroClean International Convention, where restoration professionals from across the country gathered to learn about the latest industry advancements, technologies, and best practices.

Education never stops in the restoration industry. By staying current with the newest techniques in water, fire, mold, and biohazard restoration, we’re able to provide the highest level of service to our customers throughout Northeast Ohio.

Growing Through BNI

Networking continues to be an important part of what we do. Throughout May, we visited several BNI chapters, and we’re excited that Janice officially joined a BNI chapter! We both had the opportunity to present our businesses and educate fellow members about how PuroClean helps homeowners and businesses recover after disasters.

One of the highlights was playing PuroBINGO with our BNI friends. This fun, interactive game has become a favorite way to engage with our referral partners, especially our insurance professionals. It’s always rewarding to combine education with a little friendly competition!

Continuing Education for Insurance Professionals

Education is one of our passions.

We partnered with Auto Glass Now and Enterprise to host a 6-hour Continuing Education (CE) class at Enterprise Fleet Management in Strongsville. Thank you to everyone who attended and invested in expanding your industry knowledge.

Helping insurance professionals stay informed ultimately benefits homeowners and business owners throughout Northeast Ohio by ensuring claims are handled with confidence and expertise.

Supporting the North Olmsted Chamber

As Executive Director of the North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce, I had the privilege of attending our Annual Meeting at beautiful Frostville Museum.

The event included swearing in new Board members, recognizing those continuing their service, and celebrating the accomplishments of the past year while looking ahead to exciting opportunities for the future. It’s inspiring to see so many business leaders committed to strengthening our local economy.

Rotary Leadership and Community Service

I also attended the Elyria Rotary Club’s Change of Guard ceremony.

Congratulations to one of our insurance partners, who was installed as Rotary President for the 2026-2027 year! We know they’ll do an incredible job leading such a dedicated organization.

Did you know Trey serves on the Elyria Rotary Board of Directors? This year marks the final year of his three-year board term. We’re proud to support organizations that make such a positive impact throughout Lorain County.

And if you’re planning to attend the Elyria Apple Festival this fall, be sure to stop by the Rotary booth – you’ll likely find Trey and me serving up one of the festival favorites: deep-fried ice cream!

Celebrating a True Superhero

One of the most meaningful events this month was attending the retirement celebration for our very own superhero, Joe Matusak.

Joe has dedicated countless hours to serving customers with compassion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to helping people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. His impact on our team and the community will be felt for years to come.

Congratulations, Joe! Thank you for your years of service, friendship, and dedication. We wish you nothing but happiness in your well-earned retirement.
