UPDATE! My Dad and I had the chance to tour the Greater Cleveland Food Bank with our good friend Dan “Otto” Tyson who is the Development Officer. We learned so much about the variety of meals, services, programs and just the absolute massiveness of the location and programming! WOW!

From the variations in fresh foods available daily to our local community, to the pre-packed after school meals for children and daily meals our for older populations, this place does it all! The freezers and fridges were amazing – and the steps in place to diminish waste and recycle were impressive.

They even offer additional on-site related programming for neighbors when they are there picking out and picking up their groceries.

We all know donating to our hungry neighbor feels good when we clean out our pantry, or run a food drive, or write a check – but it was so heart-warming to see the conscious effort put into maximizing every donation and dollar!

PuroClean Emergency Restoration supports Harvest for Hunger from Feb-May this year to fight hunger in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties.

HARVEST FOR HUNGER is a joint effort of four area food banks to raise money and food to fight hunger in 21 Northeast and North Central Ohio counties. It is coordinated by the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio.

PuroClean Emergency Restoration, located at 129 Reaser Court in Elyria, will be a collection site for drop off, and will encourage insurance agents to donate when attending Spring CE Classes.
