Property Damage Restoration and Water Damage Cleanup in Raleigh, NC

The restoration of water-damaged areas is a multi-phase procedure that begins with the removal of water by pumping from flooded areas. Before any cleaning or drying can begin, this water-removal process needs to be finished. After this, high-velocity fans and dehumidifiers are used for cleaning and drying. PuroClean of Raleigh, NC performs this water remediation with trained professionals to return your property to its optimal condition.

To help reduce mold-related issues and eliminate odors, PuroClean of Raleigh, NC uses technological advancements as well as EPA-registered disinfectants during the restoration process. Upon mobilization, inspections are performed to select which restoration steps are needed. The procedure could include restoration and deodorization of rooms, such as wall cavities, crawl spaces, floors, and walls.

Wall Cavities and Crawl Spaces

To prevent microbial issues and other problems caused by trapped moisture, PuroClean’s restoration technicians make a top priority of the location and removal of this moisture. If left untreated, moisture in floors, walls, ceilings, and crawl spaces can sacrifice structural strength and raise the possibility of microbial contamination. Our professionals ensure that all of these issues are addressed, and chances of future issues are completely eliminated.

Cabinets and Vanities

Unlike drywall, which can dry faster than some other structural items, our objective is to try and prohibit as much damage as possible. However, cabinets can present challenges depending on how much water affects them and the type of materials in which the cabinets are built. Fortunately, your local PuroClean water damage restoration professionals can employ effective drying techniques to accelerate evaporation with the goal of drying most materials as expeditious as possible and returning them to a pre-loss state in appearance, cleanliness, and dry standard.

Sewage Backup Cleanup

In a sewage backup and flooding situation, you can count on PuroClean professionals to eradicate disease-causing pathogens, which can present significant health risks. Sewage backup presents a challenging situation for residential and commercial property owners. It is imperative to have the assistance of certified water restoration experts when handling a sewage flood emergency. Our specialists will apply EPA-registered disinfectants to the flooded areas and use specialized cleaning procedures that may include the removal of select structures that cannot be salvaged following industry standards.

Hardwood Flooring

The water mitigation, moisture removal, and restoration of wood flooring can be a careful task that must be performed by trained professionals for the best optimal outcome. PuroClean uses a specialty drying system that may include one or all of the following: our unique drying panel system, heat, and desiccant water removal. Our unique and certified drying systems are designed to dry hardwood floors with minimal refinishing required. However, additional refinishing may be required depending on the specific flooring and damage.

If you’re looking for a company like PuroClean, chances are you’re in the middle of a very stressful experience and you’re looking for a seasoned professional that you can trust to guide you through the process and get your home and your life back on track. That’s what we needed, and Glenn seemed to suit our needs. But while he initially presented himself as eager to help and willing to guide us every step of the way, once we were in the thick of it and at his mercy, we experienced broken promises, and a sudden hostile personality change. From literally saying the words, “I’m here to explain it all to you, if you have the same question ten times that just means it’s important and you need to understand”... to... “I can’t keep going over this with you, if you don’t sign I’m going to have my crew leave immediately”— all because I asked him to explain what effect the form had on the work they would do that day. His crew confirmed there would be no difference, they would be completing a peroxide spray down of the crawl space whether we were waiving post clearance testing, or not. Glenn also told me that when our dry-out was complete, he could have his floor guy to us immediately and without delay. I stressed this to him more than once, because I know how busy contractors are these days and I was trying to keep things moving. He told me his guy would come immediately. Then I asked about how this contractor would be paid, and he said, “I pay my guys, and then when your insurance check comes, you pay me.” But suddenly, the day before the flooring guy is due to come out, I get mixed messages and ignored (first, a text stating we would need to pay in full; then, a conversation in which he blamed Siri for the misinformation and stated we would just need to pay the deductible (which we had explained several times that we had already satisfied); and then, promises to look into it and get back to me by the end of the day which he did not do). Along the way he made several small promises (ie to check in with the air quality testing company to see if our report could be expedited, to check in by text daily about progress, to return a call “after my conference call” which he never did, only responding a day later upon my follow up.) Ultimately, with about twelve hours until his floor guy was due to show up, he finally answered by text to say that PuroClean would no longer be able to help with repairs as they were “too busy”. When I reminded him he said all along that the very guy he was sending was to be his subcontractor, he admitted his lie. At that point, we had (THANK GOODNESS!) already hired a different floor contractor to come. Now, the good. The techs are great. Wayne, especially, went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and concerns, and never seemed annoyed by my desire to understand. He even told me he worried that him/his crew may have damaged by dryer, since there was a dent on top. A photo I had taken prior to the start of work showed it was pre-existing, but I was so heartened by his honesty even when it may have been a liability to himself. He was great, a real asset to the company. It’s too bad they couldn’t have someone like him on the customer service end of things. That said, Wayne was the only positive part of the experience with PuroClean, and unfortunately, that was not enough to overcome how terrible of an experience we had with Glenn.
