In early April, our team participated in the second installment of the Commercial Sales Seminar Class. Held in our vibrant city of Houston, the event provided an enriching experience. We gained valuable insights and honed our knowledge to tackle challenges in commercial sales endeavors confidently.
The Featured Presenters
The seminar was spearheaded by several key PuroClean figures, notably Sherri Spohn, Director of Sales and Franchise Growth, and senior executives such as George Hernandez, Senior Vice President of Operations for Commercial Large Loss, and Rob Drexler, Vice President of Operations—Commercial Storm. Our owners, 2023 Franchisee of the Year winners Nilo Quiroz and John Villon, presided over hosting duties.

Commercial Sales Class 2.0 Takeaways
The seminar included a training session at the Hispanic Culture Institute and a hands-on exercise at our warehouse. The interactive portion included role-playing activities, breakout sessions, simulated scenarios, and more. When the seminar concluded, each team had to lead a professional presentation, showcasing their newly acquired skills.
Throughout the seminar, our team gleaned the following insights:
- How to implement commercial terminology to improve client communication
- The purpose and significance of a Master Service Agreement (MSA)
- The importance of an Emergency Management Plan (EMP)
- Ways to deliver value to clients with engaging Continuing Education (CE) courses
Following the immersive two-day seminar, our team departed with increased confidence in both effective business development strategies and communication techniques.

The workshop featured interactive role-playing activities, simulated scenarios, and theory seminars.
The After-Party: Networking and Building Up a Community
When the learning finished, it was time to celebrate! Everyone had an enjoyable PuroClean Chill & Grill dinner, graciously hosted by John and Nilo at our new facility. Attendees enjoyed delicious fajitas and cocktails while a lively mariachi band added to the festive ambiance. We relished networking with a vibrant community of commercial sales and property restoration experts.
Great job to everyone for expanding your PuroClean horizons and taking the initiative to stay ahead of the sales game!

The successful seminar concluded with a fiesta consisting of fajitas, cocktails, and mariachi music.
