Job Summary
PuroClean of Lawrenceville is hiring a Content Packout Specialist / Contents Technician to handle the inventory, packing, removal, cleaning coordination, storage, and return of customer belongings during water, fire, and mold restoration projects. This role is essential to protecting clients’ property while restoration work is completed.

Key Responsibilities
On-Site Assessment & Planning
- Evaluate affected areas and determine packout scope with the Project Manager
- Identify items requiring special handling (electronics, documents, antiques, valuables)
- Establish staging areas and safe pathways for removal
Inventory & Documentation
- Create detailed room-by-room inventories
- Photograph and label items using a tracking system
- Maintain chain-of-custody records for all contents
Packing & Handling
- Use appropriate packing materials and methods by item type
- Disassemble/reassemble furniture when necessary
- Protect fragile, high-value, or sensitive items
Removal, Transport & Storage
- Load/unload contents safely into company vehicles
- Transport to secure storage or cleaning facilities
- Organize items in storage for efficient retrieval
Cleaning Coordination
- Separate items for specialized cleaning (textiles, electronics, documents)
- Coordinate with contents cleaning vendors as needed
- Verify items are restored to pre-loss condition when possible
Return & Reset
- Return contents after structural drying/restoration
- Place items back according to pre-loss layout and inventory
- Obtain customer sign-off and resolve discrepancies
Safety & Compliance
- Follow IICRC-aligned handling practices
- Use PPE in contaminated environments
- Maintain vehicle, equipment, and storage cleanliness
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in active job sites
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Basic tech skills for inventory apps and photo documentation
- Excellent customer service and communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in restoration, moving, warehousing, or logistics
- IICRC certifications (WRT/FSRT/OCT) a plus
- Experience handling insured losses and documentation
Work Environment
- Active disaster restoration sites (water, fire, mold conditions)
- Indoor/outdoor work in varying temperatures
- Frequent lifting, bending, and stair navigation
