Plumsteadville is home ground for us. It’s a historic village in Plumstead Township, central Bucks County, and our own shop is in Plumstead Township too, north of Doylestown along the Route 611 corridor. The village isn’t a separate borough or municipality, so permits and services run through Plumstead Township.
According to the township’s planning documents, Plumsteadville began as Hart’s Tavern, built around 1751 by James Hart, and took its present name in 1846. It became the most flourishing of the township’s villages, with houses, stores, taverns, and a carriage factory. The carriage, sleigh, and wagon works of Aaron Kratz were once known across the eastern United States and Canada. The Plumsteadville Inn still stands at the crossroads of Easton and Stump roads, along what was a stagecoach route.
Today the village is the township’s commercial hub, centered on Route 611 and Stump Road. A 2013 Bucks County Planning Commission study lists shopping centers, small shops, the Plumstead Township Building, the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company, the Grange, the post office, and Veterans Park. It also notes predominantly Victorian buildings and converted outbuildings, apartments above businesses, and newer neighborhoods like Cabin Run nearby.

Because our shop is in Plumstead Township, Plumsteadville is part of our own community. We still don’t promise an exact arrival time, since traffic, weather, and the size of each job vary.
The village grew along two main roads. Easton Road, Route 611, is the major north-south route through the village, and Stump Road runs east and west, crossing it at the center. The county’s 2013 study describes Plumsteadville as a few minutes’ drive north of Doylestown and west of the Delaware River, with heavy local and pass-through traffic.
Easton Road has a long history here. The township’s 2011 plan records that early settler John Dyer helped get Easton Road, now Old Easton Road, extended from Horsham in Montgomery County to the village of Dyerstown in Plumstead, with the extension approved in 1723. Later development spread north from Doylestown Borough along Route 611 through the Cross Keys and Plumsteadville areas.
Around the village, you’ll find the Plumstead Shopping Center, Plumstead Square, and Plumstead Crossings, plus industrial uses just outside the village to the north and south, including Bell Crest Park near the southern entrance along Easton Road. The township has also studied a possible connector extending German Road to Route 611.

Plumstead Township’s 2011 township plan describes three kinds of terrain: the Delaware River floodplain, steep wooded slopes along streams that flow to the river, and rolling uplands of the Piedmont Plateau. Much of the township is gently rolling hills between 350 and 400 feet above sea level.
The township drains to the Delaware River through three primary watersheds: the Tohickon Creek, the Neshaminy Creek, and the Delaware River South. Deep Run, Cabin Run, and Geddes Run feed the Tohickon, while the North Branch of the Neshaminy Creek begins in the township. The plan notes that erosion sends sediment into streams, narrowing channels and increasing the incidence and severity of flooding. Plumstead also participates in the National Flood Insurance Program, which regulates floodplain building.
Heavy rain and summer thunderstorms can overwhelm yards, gutters, and sump pumps. Water pools against foundations and finds cracks and window wells. If the power fails, the sump pump stops right when it’s needed. Outdoor flood water is Category 3, so carpet pad and drywall usually come out before drying starts.
Water supply matters too. The plan notes that the Cabin Run Water System serves Cabin Run, Landis Greene, and a limited number of homes and businesses in the village. If your property uses a private well instead, flooding near the wellhead can be a concern.
The county study also notes heavy traffic through the village on Route 611. For buildings close to the road, that makes a vehicle impact possible, and a damaged wall or storefront leaves the interior open to rain and cold until it’s secured.
Winter brings frozen pipes, ice dams that push meltwater into attics, and furnace puff-backs that coat rooms in oily soot. Summer humidity slows drying, and damp materials can start growing mold within days if nobody measures moisture.
We follow IICRC practices: stop the source, extract the water, clean by Category, and dry to documented readings. For restoration services Plumsteadville can rely on all year, Call Now for Fast Service.

Water damage can result from unexpected leaks, flooding from storms, plumbing failures, or appliance malfunctions. Our certified teams focus on rapid water removal, drying, and stabilization to help prevent further damage and mold growth.
Even after a fire is extinguished, smoke, soot, and odor can continue to affect your home. Fire damage restoration services address visible damage while also helping reduce lingering effects that impact indoor air quality and surfaces.
Mold often develops as a result of unresolved moisture or hidden water damage. Professional mold remediation helps identify affected areas, contain growth, and restore healthy indoor conditions.
Biohazard situations, including crime scene cleanup and virus decontamination, require specialized cleaning and handling to protect health and safety. Biohazard cleanup services address contamination using proper protocols and professional care.
In some cases, property damage requires repairs beyond cleanup and mitigation. Reconstruction services help restore damaged areas of the home after water, fire, or other incidents, supporting a smoother transition from damage to recovery.
PuroClean provides 24/7 commercial property damage restoration services for businesses and facilities across the United States.

Find answers to common questions about our services
It means we know the area, its roads, and its weather firsthand, because we work here too. We won’t promise a specific arrival time, since traffic, weather, and other calls vary, but we’re part of the same township and answer around the clock. When you call our team, tell us your address and what happened, and we’ll give you an honest plan for the next steps. For permits and code questions on repairs, the Plumstead Township Building in the village is the place to check.
Don’t drink the water or use it for cooking until it’s tested. Flood water can carry bacteria and other contaminants into a well, especially if the cap was submerged or damaged. Use bottled water in the meantime. Have the well and pump inspected, and follow guidance from the Bucks County Health Department or a certified lab on disinfection and testing. Inside the house, we extract the water, remove contaminated materials, clean and sanitize, and dry the structure to documented readings.
Yes. First, make sure everyone is safe and police and fire have cleared the scene. A building official or engineer may need to check the structure before anyone goes inside. We can board up openings to keep out weather and intruders, clean up glass and debris, and address any water damage from broken pipes or rain. We photograph and document everything for the property owner, tenant, and insurers. Our reconstruction team can then help with repairs once the structure is cleared.
It could be. Mice, squirrels, and other animals sometimes die inside walls, attics, or crawlspaces, and the odor can last for weeks. Fluids may also stain drywall or ceilings. Don’t spray air fresheners into the wall, which won’t solve the problem. We locate the source, open the area carefully, remove the remains and contaminated materials, clean and disinfect, and deodorize. If animals are still getting in, work with a wildlife or pest professional to seal entry points so it doesn’t happen again.
Yes. The county’s village study notes that some Plumsteadville outbuildings have been converted to business use. These buildings often have different construction from the main house, such as slab floors, exposed framing, or older siding, and they may lack insulation or drainage. We measure moisture in floors, walls, and stored contents, extract water, and set drying equipment for the building type. We also document inventory or business property separately, since coverage for outbuildings can differ from coverage for the main home.
