Richboro is a village in Northampton Township, Bucks County, and the township’s “downtown.” According to the township’s 2018 Richboro village plan, the village is centered at Richboro Road and Second Street Pike, with shops and services along Second Street Pike, Bustleton Pike, and Almshouse Road and Newtown-Richboro Road. It’s also the township’s government center, with municipal offices, the police station, library, senior center, schools, the water and sewer authority, and the district court.
Richboro grew from two crossroads communities. In 1790, Enoch Addis built the White Bear Hotel, later the Spread Eagle Inn, at Almshouse Road and Second Street Pike, and the area became Addisville. Farther down Second Street Pike at Bustleton Pike, the Leedom family ran the Black Bear Inn, and that area became Leedomville. Locals called them “Beartown” or “the Bears.” By 1830 they had grown together enough to need a post office, and the village took the name Richboro.
The Addisville Reformed Church traces its history to 1710, according to the township. Revolutionary-era judge Henry Wynkoop, a friend of George Washington, is buried in Addisville Cemetery.
Shopping centers, offices, and homes share the village today.

Our shop is in Plumstead Township, north of Doylestown along the Route 611 corridor. Richboro is also in Bucks County, in Northampton Township, so we stay within the same county. We don’t publish a fixed route or promise an arrival time, since traffic, weather, and the job vary.
Inside Richboro, Second Street Pike is the main north-south road through the village. The township notes that it was originally an extension of Second Street in Philadelphia, and stagecoaches once used it on the way to New Hope and the Delaware River ferry. Richboro Road crosses it at the village center.
Bustleton Pike meets Second Street Pike at the south end of the village, near the Crossroads Plaza shopping center. Almshouse Road and Newtown-Richboro Road cross Second Street Pike to the north, near the Schoolhouse Center and Richboro Plaza. Office and retail space, including Mallard Creek Village, extends west along Almshouse Road. The commercial stretch runs along Second Street Pike from Tanyard Road to Manor Drive.
The township’s municipal complex sits on Township Road near Almshouse Road, with offices, public works, police, a fire station, and the Northampton Bucks County Municipal Authority. When you call, we confirm your exact address.
Wherever you are in the village, the restoration services Richboro property owners need are a phone call away. Call Now for Fast Service.
Richboro sits within the Neshaminy Creek watershed. According to the 2018 village plan, Ironworks Creek runs parallel to Second Street Pike before passing under it near Tanyard Road. It feeds the Churchville Reservoir from the north, then flows south to join Mill Creek at Buck Road. The village itself sits in the Mill Creek sub-watershed, and the plan says floodplain soils in the study area are limited to land along Ironworks Creek.
The township’s 2018 draft township plan notes that Northampton is bounded by the Little Neshaminy Creek to the northwest and the Neshaminy Creek to the north and east. It also warns that altered stream channels can lead to siltation, loss of stream capacity, and flooding, and that alluvial soils mark places that have flooded before and may flood again.
For most Richboro properties, though, damage starts closer to home. Heavy rain overwhelms gutters and sump pumps, water pools against foundations, and window wells fill. If the power fails, the sump pump stops right when it’s needed. Outdoor flood water is Category 3, so carpet pad and drywall usually come out before drying starts.
Slow leaks matter too. A failed shower pan or a weeping supply line can soak subfloors and framing for weeks before anyone notices, and mold often follows. Finished basements, second-floor bathrooms over kitchens, and laundry rooms on upper floors are common trouble spots, because the water travels down through ceilings and walls before it shows.
Winter brings frozen pipes in exterior walls and garages, ice dams that push meltwater into attics, and furnace puff-backs that coat rooms in oily soot. Summer brings humidity that slows drying, and damp materials can start growing mold within days if nobody measures moisture. It’s also grill season, when outdoor fires can scorch decks and siding.
We follow IICRC practices: stop the source, extract the water, clean by Category, and dry to documented readings. For restoration services Richboro can rely on all year, Call Now for Fast Service.

Water damage can result from unexpected leaks, flooding from storms, plumbing failures, or appliance malfunctions. Our certified teams focus on rapid water removal, drying, and stabilization to help prevent further damage and mold growth.
Even after a fire is extinguished, smoke, soot, and odor can continue to affect your home. Fire damage restoration services address visible damage while also helping reduce lingering effects that impact indoor air quality and surfaces.
Mold often develops as a result of unresolved moisture or hidden water damage. Professional mold remediation helps identify affected areas, contain growth, and restore healthy indoor conditions.
Biohazard situations, including crime scene cleanup and virus decontamination, require specialized cleaning and handling to protect health and safety. Biohazard cleanup services address contamination using proper protocols and professional care.
In some cases, property damage requires repairs beyond cleanup and mitigation. Reconstruction services help restore damaged areas of the home after water, fire, or other incidents, supporting a smoother transition from damage to recovery.
PuroClean provides 24/7 commercial property damage restoration services for businesses and facilities across the United States.

Find answers to common questions about our services
It can be hard to tell. A break in the public main, a leak in your service line, or groundwater after heavy rain can all look similar. If you’re on public water, contact your water provider right away so they can check the main and their side of the meter. Call a plumber for pipes on your property. Meanwhile, shut off your main valve if the leak is inside. We extract water, dry the basement, and document the damage for insurance.
Don’t panic, and don’t just paint over it. First, find out what the inspector saw and where. Mold almost always means a moisture problem, so the source has to be fixed or it will come back. We inspect the area, measure moisture, and give you a written scope. We then contain the area, remove mold and damaged materials, and clean and dry what remains. You’ll get documentation of the work that you can share with buyers, agents, and your attorney.
Not always. Even a small exterior fire on a deck or patio can send smoke through open windows, doors, vents, and gaps in siding, leaving odor and soot inside. Heat can also melt vinyl siding, crack windows, and damage the framing where the deck attaches to the house. After the fire department clears the scene, check inside for smoke smell and residue. We inspect both inside and out, clean soot, deodorize, and document damage to the deck, siding, and structure for your insurer.
It depends on how long the leak has been going. Slow leaks from a failed shower pan, grout, or valve can soak the subfloor, joists, and ceiling drywall for weeks. Signs include stains, soft spots, peeling paint, and musty odors. Stop using the shower until it’s repaired. We use moisture meters and thermal imaging to map the wet area, open only what’s needed, check for mold, and dry the framing to documented readings before repairs. A plumber or tile contractor should fix the source.
We’ll work to keep interruptions as short as possible. Medical and dental offices have sensitive equipment, patient records, and strict cleanliness needs. Shut off water if you can, move records and portable equipment away from wet areas, and call us. We set up containment to separate affected rooms, extract water, and dry around your schedule when possible, including after hours. We clean and sanitize surfaces to match the water Category and document everything. Coordinate with your equipment vendors before using wet devices again.
