PuroClean of South Reno
You left the cabin closed for two weeks, and the neighbor texted about ice in the driveway and a drip from the garage. Or Third Creek jumped its banks after a warm spell and hit your lower level. If you keep a home in Incline Village or Crystal Bay, you’ve heard that story. We hear it too. We’re the crew that comes up from Sparks for water, fire, mold, and biohazard losses here.
We provide residential and commercial property restoration services throughout Incline Village, including:
We also offer carpet and upholstery cleaning and air duct and vent cleaning after a dirty loss.
Incline Village takes its name from the Great Incline, the 1880 timber tramway that hauled Comstock lumber up the mountain. Later, George Whittell’s hold on East Shore land kept much shoreline open; Thunderbird Lodge and Sand Harbor still mark that story. Crystal Bay grew around the state line and early gaming. Today’s streets climb from Lake Tahoe near 6,230 feet toward Mt. Rose country, with Incline Creek, Mill Creek, and Third Creek running to the lake.
That mountain setting shapes the damage we see. Vacant winter homes can freeze pipes in crawl spaces, garages, and exterior walls, then dump Category 1 water at the thaw. Steep lots and heavy snow load roofs with ice dams that push melt under shingles. Rapid snowmelt can overwhelm culverts and flashy creeks like Third Creek in developed blocks. Wildfire season brings smoke into HVAC systems even when flames stay miles away.
We’re PuroClean of South Reno, owned and operated by Josh Nelson, staging from our Sparks shop. Our site lists IICRC and EPA Lead-Safe credentials; we answer day and night. We document drying for insurance and build Xactimate scopes. Chad B. said Josh figured a tough water-and-mold loss others couldn’t. Donna said we restored fire contents she didn’t expect. We handle:
Our Sparks shop sits on the Glendale Avenue / East Second Street corridor (State Route 648), with quick access to I-580 / U.S. 395. The most common run to Incline Village heads west on Glendale toward the I-580 interchange, then south on I-580 to the Mount Rose Highway exit (State Route 431). From there we climb NV-431 over the summit and drop into Incline on College Drive, Village Boulevard, and Tahoe Boulevard (State Route 28).
Crystal Bay addresses continue west on SR 28 toward the state line. Sand Harbor sits south on SR 28 when a loss is on that stretch. When Mount Rose Highway is icy, closed, or jammed, we look at alternate approaches: I-80 west toward Truckee, then SR 267 to SR 28 into Crystal Bay and Incline, or the longer southern swing via Carson City and U.S. 50 to SR 28 up the East Shore. Winter storms can slow any of those corridors, so we plan gear and timing for mountain roads.
Because we stage in the Reno-Sparks metro instead of waiting on a far-flung Tahoe dispatch, we can still get extraction and drying gear to the East Shore when you need us. Call Now for Fast Service when water is already moving through your home.
Incline Village sits on the north-northeast shore of Lake Tahoe, with lake level near 6,230 feet and ridgelines climbing toward Rose Knob and Mount Rose country. That elevation means a real winter: deep snow, hard freezes, and empty cabins with heat turned down. Cold snaps freeze water in poorly protected pipes. When temps climb, those cracks open and Category 1 water can soak crawl spaces, garages, and finished lower levels before anyone notices.
Snowmelt is the other regular visitor. Warm spells after heavy snow can send meltwater into streets, crawl spaces, and flashy creeks. Third Creek in Incline Village can rise quickly during rapid melt, especially when culverts and drains remain packed with ice. Outdoor water that enters a home is treated as Category 3, so carpet, pad, and other porous materials need more than a mop and a box fan. Ice dams along eaves create a quieter path: meltwater backs under shingles and shows as ceiling stains along exterior walls.
High-elevation air still doesn’t stop mold. Once water sits in drywall paper, carpet pad, or crawl-space insulation, indoor humidity and weak ventilation can start growth. Vacant homes are prone to that delayed odor call after a winter leak.
Wildfire risk is part of East Shore life too. The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District covers Incline Village and Crystal Bay across steep, fuel-heavy terrain. Smoke from regional fires or prescribed burns can infiltrate HVAC systems, insulation, and soft belongings even when flames never reach your street. After nearby burns, bare slopes can also shed runoff downhill faster.
Between freeze-thaw nights, creek melt, ice-dam roofs, vacant-cabin plumbing, and smoke days, Incline losses are rarely a mop-and-done job. We follow IICRC practices: pull the water, clean by Category when needed, dry to measured goals, and keep clear notes for NFIP or private claims. Call Now for Fast Service at (775) 446-4646 if moisture, sewage, or smoke is in your property.

Water damage can result from unexpected leaks, flooding from storms, plumbing failures, or appliance malfunctions. Our certified teams focus on rapid water removal, drying, and stabilization to help prevent further damage and mold growth.
Even after a fire is extinguished, smoke, soot, and odor can continue to affect your home. Fire damage restoration services address visible damage while also helping reduce lingering effects that impact indoor air quality and surfaces.
Mold often develops as a result of unresolved moisture or hidden water damage. Professional mold remediation helps identify affected areas, contain growth, and restore healthy indoor conditions.
Biohazard situations, including crime scene cleanup and virus decontamination, require specialized cleaning and handling to protect health and safety. Biohazard cleanup services address contamination using proper protocols and professional care.

Honest answers for Incline Village and Crystal Bay homeowners and property managers
Third Creek runs through developed parts of Incline Village and can rise quickly during rapid snowmelt, especially when culverts and drains are still clogged with ice. Warm spells after heavy Sierra snow push melt into those flashy channels faster than a big valley river would move. If outdoor water enters your lower level or garage, we treat it as Category 3, remove porous materials that can’t be saved, sanitize affected surfaces, and dry the structure to measured goals. Household fans alone won’t finish that job. Call Now for Fast Service if meltwater is already inside.
Vacant mountain homes are classic freeze-break settings. Heat set too low, uninsulated lines in crawl spaces or exterior walls, and open hose bibs can split when nights get hard. You may not see the puddle until a neighbor notices or you open the place for a weekend. If you find water, shut off the main valve if you can do so safely, stay clear of electrical hazards, snap photos, then Call Now for Fast Service. We’ll classify the water as Category 1, 2, or 3, extract what we can, and keep moisture logs that line up with Xactimate scopes.
Our usual route is Glendale Avenue to I-580 south, then Mount Rose Highway (NV-431) into Incline Village. When that summit is icy, closed, or slow, we look at I-80 west toward Truckee and SR 267 to SR 28 into Crystal Bay and Incline, or via Carson City and U.S. 50 to SR 28 along the East Shore. We stage from our Sparks shop, planning mountain access from the Reno-Sparks metro rather than a distant call center. Tell us road conditions when you call, and we’ll pick the corridor that gets gear to you.
Yes. Fine smoke and odor ride basin winds and slip in through HVAC intakes, window gaps, and porous finishes. Soft furnishings, insulation, and ductwork can hold that smell long after outdoor air looks clearer. The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District covers Incline Village and Crystal Bay, and smoke can arrive from prescribed burns or distant fires. Our fire and smoke work checks what settled where, cleans what can be saved, and works the odor based on the soot we see. Donna wrote that after her fire, we restored belongings she didn’t think she’d get back.
Lakefront and Crystal Bay homes often mix older construction, finished lower levels, and tight lots near SR 28, so water can travel into places you don’t see from the living room. Clean Category 1 water still needs metered structural drying. If melt or outdoor water entered, we treat it as Category 3 and remove porous materials that can’t be saved. We document readings and scopes with Xactimate when a claim is open. Coverage still depends on your policy and whether the loss is sudden discharge, weather, or NFIP flood forms. We handle mitigation and paperwork; we won’t promise carrier payment.
