Our PuroClean Cares™: Adopt A Classroom campaign has been a smashing success. It has made a real difference in classrooms nationwide, fostering community spirit, generosity, and compassion beyond what we initially imagined.
As we close another month for our campaign, we couldn’t help but highlight some of the astounding donations and contributions that our fantastic franchisees have accomplished in their communities. We can’t thank them enough for all their hard work and support in making the daily lives of teachers and students better.
Improving the Lives of Teachers Across Springfield and Sterling, VA
Our teams in Springfield and Sterling, VA, led by Rick Van Dyke, Dennis O’Brien, and Brett Dalrymple, have gone above and beyond with their donations to multiple teachers and schools within their area.
Their gift? They split a staggering $2500 between five selected teachers for school supplies and materials for each of their classrooms. Enthusiastically, when asked, each teacher shared how this will help improve their classrooms and benefit the education of their students:
Cathleen Beachboard of Fauquier High School, 10th and 11th Grade English & Theatre:
“I plan on paying the money forward, but I want to do it for my whole school. This money will allow me to start a sunshine fund at my school, where we can celebrate and support teachers and students. I pitched the idea to my principal, and he told me to go ahead and write something up. Now, I have the funds to do it.
Ultimately, I want to take the money and create a fund so that when teachers have something happen, whether it’s a birthday, life event, or something else, the funds can support teachers and students.”
Krista Poole of Cedar Lee Middle School, 6th Grade Science:
“As a middle school science teacher, hands-on activities and labs are essential to teaching and making the content fun. Working in a large school with nine science teachers, the budget gets stretched thin.
This money will help me purchase expensive consumable items, like gloves. In addition, I want to buy more weather tools so that students can go outside and have hands-on experience measuring atmospheric conditions as part of our weather unit. This campaign is a wonderful initiative and is helping the year start in a great way!”
Melissa Budd of Taylor Middle School, 6th Grade Science:
“I plan on using the money to purchase much-needed supplies for my classroom. These will be supplies that students can use. I also want to purchase some fun science stuff for experiments and activities!”
Ashley Corvin of Margaret M. Pierce Elementary, Elements Art:
“As an art teacher, I am excited to begin my first year teaching in my hometown! I am so grateful to have received this money to continue to fund some fun art materials for my students.
I look forward to using these funds to explore materials I don’t have in this classroom due to expense. I will also use a portion of this money to continue adding to the overall environment of my classroom. Thank you so much!”
Stephanie Staats of Kettle Run High School, Agriculture:
“As a first-year teacher, I will use these funds to create a welcoming and functional learning environment for my agricultural students. I plan to use funds to purchase school supplies, like extra pencils, pens, binders, and folders, and I also plan to get supplies that will enhance hands-on learning in my classroom.
As an agricultural educator, practical education in my classroom is vital for meeting career readiness competencies. These materials include jars for soil samples and animal science visual flashcards. These funds will help me succeed in my first year, and my students will grow alongside me!”
Adopting a Team on the Big Island of Hawaii
When owners Gregory Arianoff and Christopher Sibel, who lead our team at the Big Island of Hawaii, heard about the PuroClean Cares™: Adopt A Classroom campaign, they couldn’t wait to start!
However, they took a creative approach to the campaign by adopting an athletic team at the St. Joseph School in Hilo, HI! Recognizing the school’s rich history and the community’s dedication to keeping it open after it nearly closed in 2020, they decided to support the air rifle shooting team.
Seeing that the team’s gear bags were tattered beyond repair, they immediately purchased new ones and, with Gregory’s help, designed a team logo that is now proudly embroidered onto the bags themselves!
Our Home Office Team Proudly Adopts a Classroom
The PuroClean Home Office has shown exceptional dedication to our Adopt a Classroom Campaign, providing extensive support to Ms. Kay Thomas’ classroom at Millennium 6-12 Collegiate Academy. The generosity of various team members and departments has been genuinely inspiring.
Contributions came from all levels of our organization, demonstrating true team spirit:
Tanya Ragbeer kicked off our campaign with a pink Workpro tool set, which not only helps Ms. Thomas keep track of tools but also supports breast cancer research
Debbie Ford-O’Connor, our CE Coordinator/Operations Specialist, shipped a LEGO set from afar
Wallis and Dara teamed up to provide art supplies
Tom Brady donated several practical items for hands-on experiments
Alex Pericchi, VP of Marketing & Online Learning, collaborated with Allegra Printing to create custom posters
Joy Thomas, RightStart Manager, contributed an additional pink tool set
Tim Courtney, VP of Franchise Development, and Matt Bogart, Franchise Development Director, joined forces to provide the Sphero robot car.
We’ve even seen support from our community partners, with the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce donating supplies and funds for additional items.
This collaborative effort truly embodies PuroClean’s commitment to education and community support. Each donation, regardless of size, creates an enriching learning environment for Ms. Thomas’ students.

Delivering Backpacks of Supplies to Students in San Antonio, TX!
Partnering with the Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM) for their school drive, our San Antonia, TX, team went above and beyond by ‘adopting’ 10 students and providing them with backpacks filled with essential school supplies.
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, they contacted local agencies such as State Farm, inviting them to contribute to the cause. Their efforts culminated on 7/26 when they delivered the backpacks to CAM, showcasing their proactive approach and commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of these students.
Donating backpacks full of supplies!
Gathering School Supplies in Chardon, OH!
Partnering with Ledgeview Elementary in Macedonia, our Chardon, OH, team fulfilled a school supply list for Ms. Sarah McComas’ second-grade class.
Cheryl, who is spearheading this campaign, has been working closely with a local Nordonia Hills Chamber member (Postnet), which has been serving as a donation drop site and offering pick-ups!
Cheryl promoted the donation drive by visiting local businesses and insurance agents and attending networking meetings within the school district, recognizing that in-person engagement yields the best results. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of their team, the supplies and PuroClean coloring books were generously donated to the school on August 13th!
Supplies donated and another school ready for the upcoming year!
