Brunswick business plans to call city home for a long time

BRUNSWICK City Economic Development Manager Tim Smith officially recognized the local owners of PuroClean this month for the company’s national recognition as the top franchise of the year.

More importantly to the city, however, is the fact that the co-owners of the PuroClean franchise at 1126 Industrial Parkway have more than delivered on their original business plan, Smith said.

“I remember when they first started they had seven or eight employees,” Smith said of the water, fire, mold and biohazard restoration service. “They said they were going to continue expanding and that is exactly what they did.”

The company now has 27 employees, Smith said, with plans to increase that number to 50 by the end of the year.

“I will be nominating them for the county’s business awards,” he said. “Medina County has seven categories of business award and I am thinking of nominating PuroClean as entrepreneur of the year.”

Emilio Soli said he and his partner, George Cruz, originally moved the franchise to the city because of logistics – namely proximity to Interstate 71.

“What we hadn’t counted on was the support from the city,” Soli said. “From reaching out to help, to networking with other businesses. We have no intention of ever going anywhere else; we plan to be a part of the Brunswick business community for a long time.”
